  1. Are you saying that we built it and they didn't come? Well, unless you are a quitter, the answer is simple, build more and them maybe we can get triple or quadruple the number of people not to come!
  2. IT YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME (awww crap, that was baseball)
  3. The good news is that we in the US are worried about global warming.
  4. That doggie is driving my cat nuts. She keeps trying to swat him.
  5. First let me clear, I was making a few points while at the same time having a little fun with you, which I presumed you were with me. After all, we have had some fun discussions together, where we each took a verbal poke at the other. (all in fun and usually with a little truth) As far as the dictator part, I have also seen Mr. Austin referred to by that term and I just wanted to make sure the record was clear, that I was not one to refer to him by that title. That's all. As you are well aware, I always enjoy my conversations with you, whether we agree, disagree or somewhat agree. I f
  6. I missed those. While the Banana Splits were not a cartoon, I listed them because I am a member of the Banana Splits Club. I still have my membership card, so my inclusion of them was a personal thing.
  7. Oooops, I missed Mighty Mouse and I didn't list the great Bob "Captain Kangaroo" Keeshan becuase he was mainly live action, although who doesn't love the Captain.
  8. I would strongly disagree with you, I have never been an Applebees fan and I think there are better restaurants in the county than Applebees.
  9. Whew, are you and the longest winded people on pcom? First, does you sympathy come cash? Second, if you are trying to say that I have one set of rules for one topic and another for a second topic.....perhaps, not sure. Unless given specifics, I cannot answer for sure. But then being human, I do make mistakes and am not always logical. (don't tell the wife I admitted it) Third, not sure I wish to condemn anyone to a life of "interminable suffering because of their faulty decisions". But I am sure that I don't want the government taking my money at the point of a gun and deciding who is
  10. SDN and I fixed it for you. I hate to hear that anyone is ripped off, but for some reason it makes me madder if they are an older person. I guess it is because they have already been through enough crap and they should not have to deal with more at that age. I hope they get them also. Sorry it happened, but glad it was stopped so quickly.
  11. I know. I have know quite a few people who have taken this way out of their pain. Some were just acquaintances, some were friends (but not real close) and some were close friends. I know of no reason why a father's love would not be as deep as a mother's love. (I know, I know, y'all grow em, but we still love em)
  12. One quick note, if anyone disagrees with me, that does not affect my thinking or feeling about them as a person. Remember my wife, the waaaay to the left liberal, disagrees with on a daily basis and I love her. So I do not take any of this personal and I hope no one takes my disagreeing with them, when o do, personal. After all, I hope we are all wanting what is best for the entire county.
  13. Pubby you could very well be correct, I hope not, but you could be. If I understand correctly what your point is, you are saying that it is unreasonable to expect our elected officials to "do the right thing" when they don't like who you vote for. So someone got their underwear in a wad and decided, there is no reason for me to behave ethically and honestly and morally, because after all, that legally elected representative for that district supported my opponent? So if in a business, one department is working on a deal that would benefit the company and another person in that business h
  14. I would never criticize someone who was in so much pain that they could not see anyway out but to take their own life. But I hope that most will realize that there is a long haul and that it is better to always be there, if ever needed, for their children. Long term solution for a short term (relatively speaking) problem.
  15. At this point, I have no reason to not believe what Todd says. Everything I have seen with him, in person, has shown me that Todd is an honest, upstanding, moral, caring person. It is as simple as this, I have no reason to disbelieve him. If I understand correctly, one of the points being used against Todd is that he was trusting of his fellow council members to advise him of something major happening in his district. So we are going to place the onus on someone for not being suspicious enough of his fellow council members, that they may try to hide and dissemble about a project goin
  16. Paulding.com, it's not just for arguing over airports!
  17. Everyone knows that the decade where cartoons ruled was the late 50's thru the late 60's. Batman Atom Ant Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy The Banana Splits The Bugs Bunny Show Clutch Cargo Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines Davey and Goliath Deputy Dawg Mr. Magoo Fantastic Four The Flintstones Yogi Bear Underdog Woody Woodpecker Tennessee Tuxedo Tom and Jerry The Perils of Penelope Pitstop Casper The Mighty Hercules The Magilla Gorilla Show Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! 18. Mr. Dean made good sense to me. Have a plan and a business model based on facts, not wishes and promises. As was said about JC Penny closing some stores, their business model will be studied for years to come, as what not to do. I would hope that Paulding's airport would not join JC Penney when they teach and learn about what not to do. Seems simple to me, answer the people's questions. But then that would just make good old fashioned common sense. Thank you Pubby for the clip.
  19. Lay off the old people. I got my senior discount at Ihop yesterday and I'm applying for my retail clerks pension. Now all I need is to win the lottery and I can retire and sit at the Waffle House all day.
  20. Russell Johnson always said that the Professor was so involved with his studies, that he was asexual. But Russell's son was gay and was a big leader in the cure for Aids before he passed away from the same disease.
  21. You must have put in more time than I did. If I get mine now, it will just about cover my chew bill.
  22. Dang, now we lost Mr. Kincaide also? Who is going to watch Danny?
  23. Dang, I always like Russell Johnson. He played in a lot of 50's B sci-fi movies.
