  1. I was going to come out, but the gay and lesbian leaders asked me to stay in. Just kidding, except for the fact that I am a lesbian in a man's body.
  2. In think I have learned more patience and I have learned how to go ahead and type a post, then delete it and either change it or not post. (ok, the wife would disagree with the 1st part and a lot of you would disagree with the last part, but have parts have truth in them) Same name.
  3. OK, now I have to protest, this is a flying monkey.
  4. Steroid use can be hazardous to one's health. Today's tip from the health page. Anger management classes can be taken without a court order. Today's tip from the lifestyle page. Yelling does not make you more right, it just makes you loud and annoying. Today's tip from my mother.
  5. Another elected official who thinks they are above everyone else. "How dare you say anything about hardworking people? If I say it is ok, then it is ok." (not quotes, but my take on the situation) These people's egos know no bounds.
  6. When my brother married his second wife, she sent the wedding invitations with little gold bells in the envelopes. Just a few, maybe 6-10 in each envelope, but one. Yep mine. There were little gold wedding bells all over the place. For years to come you would find one here or there. They were so light that walking would cause them to float around and like I said they went everywhere because she made sure and glued my envelope closed with real glue. I didn't use a letter opener in those days and when I got it ripped open, it was a snow storm. It was aggravating, but I couldn't help but
  7. It certainly depends on the person doesn't it. I have been to my dad's grave once since he passed, I do not feel a great need to visit there. I am sure I will visit again, but have no plans. Others I know visit their loved ones resting place at least once a year and often more. I say whatever makes you feel better or closer or brings you the most comfort, then go for it. Neither is right or wrong in my opinion.
  8. A lot of this type of thing went on in the 1800's and even up to the early part of the 1900's. The US, like the rest of the world, did not treat it's mentally ill very well, unless it was a private sanatorium, even then it could be iffy. The same holds true for many of the prisons in a lot of the country. My personal opinion is that since no one knows who these people are and who the living relatives are, if any, then while we should show respect, they could be removed and reburied in a mass grave. I know that may not be a very popular opinion, but if you study your history, there are
  9. I do not belong to any group, for or against the airport. You drive a truck for a living, don't cha. ETA You yell a lot when talking with people, don't cha?
  10. Just for the record, I added the following to my post. I was just wondering, I have been told many times by many people that I live in a fantasy world, is your fantasy world near mine? Cause in my fantasy world I play par golf, 22 yr old beautiful women want me and I am skinny, with lots of hair and money, your fantasy world seems to be a little darker place. (perhaps with orks and goblins and trolls)
  11. ex·cept ikˈsept preposition 1. not including; other than. Well as long as the don't start accepting, we may be ok. 12. When my son was a baby I would play and sing this song to him.
  13. My Ipod, yes I have one, the wife let me have her's after the radio quit playing good music, has a LOT of Rod Stewart on it. Even his bad songs are good to me.
  14. Whew! From the thread title, I thought NC had been talking to the wife.
  15. I thought it was our bulldog passing gas.
  16. I have always been a BIG fan. Here a fan was asked to hold the lyrics to Ooh La La and ends up joining in singing. He (the fan) does a great job!
  17. It is the end of an era...sorta...well at least for me. Since 1980 I have been an Atlanta Falcons season ticket holder. From 1980 till 2004, I only missed but one game and that was because I was a pallbearer at a funeral. I was there for some good times a few great times and a lot of bad times. I cheered as Bart hooked up with Jackson on Big Ben Right to beat the Saints and I was there when he again beat the 49’s with Big Ben Right to White Shoes. I was saddened as I sat in the stadium and watched as the Cowboys came back to win 30-27 against what was probably the best Falc
  18. Now that is something you could get a lot of people on board with. I never realized how many people were nervous about clowns. (there is a joke in here about not only local government, but all government, but I will not say it)
  19. Thanks ladies for taking up for mom. I promise she doesn't worry about dog, she has lived waaay to long and been thru waaay too much to get upset by him. (if she knew) My mother has more common sense than most people I have ever met. Now, she is not to up on the latest things, but then again she doesn't want to be. Dog, you should be so lucky as to have a person in your life like my mother. She is truly one of the finest people I know, honest, caring, hard working (still working part time at 80 yrs old), lives by the rule that she has tried to teach me since I was a kid "If you can't s
  20. I sometimes call the wife and just play this Rod Stewart song over the phone.
