Good, if we can't afford to do it with exiting funds then we can just wait.

I voted because I don't think I have the right to complain if I don't. Also there are people that would love to have the chance to vote but can't because of where they live. I shouldn't take my right to vote for granted. The main issue for me though was the TSPLOST. I do my best to vote in all elections.

We aren't a traditional hub and spoke city. There are several employment areas outside of "down town". I've live in GA on and off for 11 years. None of my jobs have been down town. I've worked near 400 and 285, I've worked in Smyrna, I've worked in Dunwoody. For all those I had to commute west to east. That is a major pain. Building more interstates and adding rail wouldn't really help in that situation because I rarely got on an interstate to make those commutes, and I doubt they are going to put in a rail line that is anywhere near my home or happens to be near my job. We are one of the leas

Really? You want to single out one party for negativity?

Yes

Assuming a special election or an appointment.

I agree the (I) is the easy choice for a casual voter. Had I not been on Paulding.com I would have voted for Braddock because I didn't know her Challengers I didn't get any info from them at my house. Fair or unfair, the majority of people are going to vote for the person on the ballot who they saw the most advertising for. Because that is a familiar name.

I hope that this was a big wake up call that you can't threaten us into a tax hike, and you can't just come ask for more money because you don't know how to handle what you have. I think overall this is a bad omen for incumbents and for Obama come November.
-
Looking at the poll of who will you vote for, it doesn't look like pcom is a very good indicator of the county as a whole. At least in the Braddock race, and the Carruth/Heath/Other guy race.

Quit reading and go vote no
-
Correct, and the projects on your list will be built. And our counties will fall into disrepair and we will curse the day we voted no on the TSPLOST

TSPLOST REGION MAP Whether Paulding's region votes it down has no effect on your region. For Atlanta to get it just the Atlanta region counties have to vote yes. Paulding is in Region 1, Atlanta is in Region 3

I would like to know the answer to that question. Why would anyone be opposed to auditing the city books? Seems like something that should be done on a regular basis and made public.
-
The majority of a region has to vote yes for it to go. So if your County votes no, but all the others vote yes then you're stuck with it.
-
Paulding is in a different region than Fulton or Cobb. They are passed independent of one another.

Curious, does paulding.com attend council meetings for the City of Hiram and report on the happenings on a regular basis? If they have I haven't noticed. I would be interested in knowing whats going on there. I haven't been able to get to any meetings with my work schedule.
-
Apparently council members got rid of him. Wonder what their motivation was for it.

It's like going to the zoo and watching the animals in their native habitats.

I just don't like being bullied into taxing myself. They are basically telling us pay this tax or you'll be sorry. I won't be threatened into compliance. I don't understand why it's so hard for them to get that we do want a fix, but we are not happy with this fix. So listen to the voters and come at it again.
-
Any reason given, any information on who will replace him?

In regards to the bus, and I don't have any school age kids yet, but I would be more likely to put mine on the bus if the bus came to our house. I wouldn't want my kids walking the 1/4 mile to the bus stop alone and standing at the stop waiting for the bus. It would just be easier for me to take my kid in. Of course that's not wasting much gas since I think we live about 2 miles from the elementary school they will attend.

20 voted NO in this household! Yeah, I'm that oneupper friend everyone complains about
-
I voted for Melissa Morrison because I didn't want to vote for someone who is possibly a criminal, or someone who would stand in traffic dressed like a criminal to get attention.

Something else I learner was that many projects that they have listed on the projects list are already funded before this tax goes into effect, therefore whether or not you vote for this tax that project will ne completed with monies that are already there.
