Eric Johnson - yes http://www.JohnsonForGeorgians.com He'll take questions too if you can make it to the meeting tomorrow morning.

Since we're gonna have some sunny days I am looking forward to going by tomorrow - FINALLY. I want to see the blueberry and rasberry plants. Not sure what else is there, but my cousin called and knows they have these.

Anyone interested in learning more about potential candidates for Governor - all will or have already been to Paulding County. Eric Johnson will be speaking at Saturday morning's meeting. At GOP Headquarters off 278 at Seaboard Drive. 9:00 am I understand Johnny Isakson may be there too.

But what's crazy is that last week I was coming home from Powder Springs area on 278 heading west around 2pm. There were SOOOOO many tractor trailers going west too. It was insane how much traffic was going through Hiram at that time of day. I was wondering where all of those trucks were going. Not sure exactly how that ties into the airport, but there is al ot of business travel already taking place going west on 278. Who knows what can be done encourage that business growth, but PC has a lot of exposure and traffic already.

I'd expect them to be closed on Sunday. I know Elrod's in Dallas and most small businesses like this are usually closed. Let me know what you think. I have to try to get there this week too - was too busy over the weekend (not to mention it was wet).

You probably know my great aunt and uncle. Tibbetts Printing used to be there on the 61 end of Hiram Sudie. Small world, huh. Sorry for the hijack - and YES, I agree with you. Hug her that she made it home, but seriously let her know how close she could have been to an accident several times. -
I'll be in a class all day tomorrow. Anyone that goes by be sure and tell Tracy or Julie that you heard about them on P'Com - and let me know what you think. I guess I'll have to wait until Monday to go by. It's a garden center. Like I said, they have mulch there already. Not sure what else - but they may carry fresh veggies too. Some plants I'm sure. Anyone already been by there?

Good post. She didn't work FOR Jerry. She worked FOR the county, and was there BEFORE Jerry. So hopefully the guilty by association won't be a part of this. She took calls from concerned citizens, yet didn't have a vote back then. She understands how the commissioner's work and has inside experience that can be very useful in figuring out how to get things accomplished for the citizens of her district. Years of experience with the Chamber and with the commissioner's office.

Did you guys and gals out in the South Paulding area know that a new Garden Center has opened? I had heard about it and saw the signs up today. It's at Ridge Rd and 61 - just beside the library. I believe they may have fresh veggies as time goes on. I saw pallets of mulch, etc outside. I know we're all about suppporting local businesses, so everyone check it out. May go by there tomorrow.

The video is a good introduction to Beverly. She worked for the County Commission office for many years - with no "power" or decision making influence. She has heard concerns and fielded calls from citizens over the years and wants to be a voice for the people in the Post 2 district as well as for all of Paulding. Good luck to any candidate that wants to put their hat in the race. WE all know politics - especially on P'Com - isn't easy.

Confirm his appointed committees. I believe if I read a text correctly he may be assigned to: Economic Development Human Relations/aging State Institutions and Property State Planning/Comm Affairs Not sure if those are divided up correctly as text just wrapped around. But knowing what committees he is asssigned can also help us understand where he will be allowed influence above and beyond just the normal vote.

Yes! And how old is he? lol

Thank you for keeping us all updated. It's wonderful to be able to follow God's work through a request and then as changes occur. I'm sooo happy for you and your daughter. I hope you're enjoying the new grandson. Boy's are awesome! My sister has two. She is now pregnant and we find out 3/17 what she's having. We think a girl this time.

The mother of the girl that passed away (grandmother to these three children who are 3,5, and teaches at Buchannan Elementary. She teaches 4th grade. Her name is Mrs. Phillips. The 8 & 5 year old go to school there too I think - of course that's not their last name.

Thanks everyone! I've told my cousin that when she hears from them to let them know I posted a prayer request to get the word out. She'll keep me posted when/if she hears something. With all the views we get in these posts, I'm sure many will be praying. These are the moments I love P'Com!

Hi everyone. I feel compelled to share this story - as much as I know of it. My cousin is a substitute teacher in Haralson county, and I asked if she was working this week. She said she is, but for a really bad reason. She's subbing for a 4th grade teacher that is out because her daughter, 32 is in ICU and not expected to make it. I believe it was some brain swelling or mass. As bad as this is, the story is worse. She has 3 young children. I believe all under age 6 (maybe the oldest could be 7 or . AND, they lost their father somehow a couple of years ago. If the mother passes

Because apparently we're not. The overwhelming majority of comments are not loving and forgiving. And P'Com is an open forum - even the Huffington Post could check in and see what we all think and report about it, right? I guess residents need to start a "get out the vote" campaign now - for the primaries. Maybe more than 1500-1600 of 60000 voters will show up and try to make a statement if we start advertising now.

Just a bump up for you morning folks - in case you can fit this in. 10 am today at PC Republican headquarters.
-
Now everyone that always says they "don't know their candidates, don't know who to vote for, don't like the candidate options that they have", etc etc etc please try to make some time - hopefully you'll like what you see, or can encourage others to qualify and run. This way there will be plenty of options and the process can work better for all of us.

I just had a little piece of cake! So don't feel bad! he he. Guess I gotta write that down! No frosting though.

DQ???? Uh oh! lol... you don't wanna know what I just ate. Sorry to hi-jack but I just had to!

Hi everyone! Several candidates running for Post 2 Commissioner (Seven Hills area) and Post 4 Commissioner (Don Powell's seat - South Paulding/New GA, etc area) will have a chance to speak at the Paulding Republican Women's meeting tomorrow morning at 10 am. Sorry for the late notice - forgot to post it. Meeting is at Paulding GOP Headquarters at Seaboard Drive (just off of 278 West of Dallas).

PT's information on "The Party" is correct. This was a non-partisan election - even though the qualifying form did ask affiliation. All candidates appeared on one ballot. It was not 1 Republican vs 1 Democrat. Any and all candidates that chose to participate could throw their hat in the race. These 3 candidates are all the presented themselves. The Republican Party did not endorse any candidate. Also mentioned - Daniel's phone number is available. He still today urges anyone who wishes to know more about him, question him, or discuss issues to contact him directly. He has made himself av

No joke! Me too!

Not my district either. Was there an option for a write-in vote? Perhaps everyone that didn't like any choices could either run for office of try to convince someone that they believe is qualified to run instead?????? The Atlanta news media only carried the scandal about Richardson, but really didn't put much focus on a State Representative election. Of course how many State Representatives are there? I guess they don't focus on most of them. I agree that there wasn't a lot of publicity about it - probably because of what I stated above. However, with all of the complainers and o
