  1. Yes hopefully someone will post it if there are other candidates or any Democrats running. There is still one week to qualify. I'll look forward to hearing from the ones that are at the meeting tomorrow.
  2. The candidates that I know of are Ronnie Sibley, Kim Curl, Daniel Stout, and maybe Paulette Rakestraw Braddock.
  3. NP. Let any of your friends/neighbors that are in East Paulding area know to join us. I was glad the Womens GOP chairperson was able to get them scheduled so quickly. She just got this ironed out when I started the post.
  4. This is just a friendly bump up the post chain (lol) - since the meeting is tomorrow morning - as a last friendly reminder to get the word out. Everyone is invited to attend. You can meet and hear from those running for Richardson's seat. Have a great Friday! Hope to see you there.
  5. Okay Feelip, as the OP here, I'm asking that you keep this on topic and not so sarcastic "have a nice dream"...... Start a separate topic if you want to bash a candidate. My interest here was to be sure anyone that wanted to share this opportunity to hear and see the candidates should come to the meeting at the Paulding GOP headquarters this Saturday at 10am. I've had to calm you guys down before when things get so heated. I am certainly not in the know or have done a lot of research, but it is obvious that the schools have been VERY overcrowded. Let's just keep this clean an
  6. If you can spare an hour (maybe 1.5) on Saturday morning, I'd recommend coming out. I'm not in the 19th District, but whomever is elected will be one of two that represent PC, so I'm interested in seeing/learning more about them all. Of course, that is a great way to meet them face to face, and still have some time to do a little research before voting in February. Anyone can attend as a guest. Nothing required but to show up. Hope to see you Saturday at 10am.
  7. Wish we could crash Surepip's and help finish off those leftovers! Sound yummy. I have had a craving for muffuletta sandwich for a while and finally got the ingredients together. Made the olive salad/toppping today and let it marinate. The sandwich was yummy!
  8. Do you guys have other recommendations as well - to get the word out? Seeing all the comments about the past situation and what was or was not done to represent PC, I'd like to think a good number of people will be interested in seeing who is willing to step up and run, as well as what their qualifications are. Glad we have a week to spread the word. Saturday, 10 am.
  9. Well I just ate at Phat Phils on Sunday - so not much better! Everyone has to cut back now, but hopefully if you eat out, you can try the local places.
  10. Back in October someone suggested we shout out/praise the local restaurants that we enjoy. The point is to bring attention to them, and help boost their business and keep them in business. From that post, my mom and I decided to try Phat Phils off of 120 just across the Paulding/Haralson county line. One word.... YUMMO (to quote Rachel Ray). All of his veggies are fresh/from scratch. The portions are huge. WONDERFUL food. I highly recommend giving them a try. They supposedly have really good prime rib too! Other restaurants that you may want to mention, feel free to add
  11. Here are the links to the district maps for GA, and specifically the 19th.... for all voters to see. http://georgiainfo.galileo.usg.edu/g-a_maps.htm http://www.legis.ga.gov/legis/2009_10/house/communications/maps/HD019.pdf Pubby, feel free to repost/etc as needed for community service.
  12. Unconfirmed.... but here are possible candidates that have been mentioned. The qualifying is still open. Paulette Rakestraw Braddock, Ronnie Sibley, Daniel Stout.
  13. I'm in Howard Maxwell's district, so I'm not sure. I have requested from the organizer, and will post it back shortly. Also, trying to get a copy of the district map - not sure if anyone on here has it, but as soon as I get it I'll post that too. Thanks everyone.
  14. Several of the candidates for the special election for the GA House, District 19 will be speaking Saturday at the Paulding GOP office, meeting to start at 10:00 am. Anyone in the district voting to elect a representative for the open seat vacated by Glenn Richardson is invited to attend. EDIT: In the thread I posted a couple of links that will provide a copy of the district map. It's the East side of the County. A memo was sent out regarding qualifying timelines and election date by the Secretary of State's office. Memo below: Atlanta—Georgia Secretary of State Brian
  15. Thanks LR. I know these are specific sizes - but maybe someone out there will need them. If anyone else needs this size, please let me know.
  16. I have 10 pair of various color Docker slacks and 6 pair of Docker jeans. All are like new/well kept. They have been dry cleaned/pressed. This is a great last minute find for hard to shop for "big and tall" men. All are size 46X30. If you know anyone who may be interested let me know. Feel free to PM me. $8 each. Normally over $30 new.
  17. Hi. I tried to send you a PM last night, and received an error. You may want to try to reach me via PM. I have enough land for you and then some - just off Marshall Fuller Rd (Hwy 61 side). I'm looking to find a little extra $$ too - since I just lost my job. Maybe a good fit for both of us. If you've found what your looking for already, good luck.
  18. Want to be sure as many Paulding Citizens as possible see this opportunity to meet one of our two State Senators. Bill Heath to hold Town Hall on Monday.
  19. Just an extra post for the "day timers" on P.Com, so this wouldn't be missed. I believe this is the first time that one of our own has had an open Town Hall in a while, so everyone try to make plans to attend.
  20. Hi everyone - share the news. This coming Monday, December 7, at 7:00PM, there will be holding a Town Hall featuring one of our State Senator's - Bill Heath. The Town Hall will be held at the Paulding Republican Headquarters in The Village shopping center at 105 Village Walk, Suite 283, at the intersection of Seaboard Dr. and Hwy 278. Please spread the word and try to attend if possible. A great opportunity to hear from one of our elected officials.
  21. I doubt BB wants the blood of your firstborn. People on here are so cruel to each other. This is ridiculous and off point. A good point - that no one has wanted to raise the money or attempt to run against the Speaker if they were so dissatisified with his work over the last several years. Having $$$ to run for the seat has nothing to do with $$$ your family chose to spend in the lawsuit. Granted - there is a lot wrong with the way the PC Gov't has done things in the past... but this isn't about all the other issues that are being dragged into this post. Please everyone, slow down and
  22. It's just off Marshall Fuller Rd. - New Ga area closest to 61.
  23. This is wooded - mixed, not all pines or hardwood. There is a creek on the property as well. I am hoping PCom'ers will help me figure out the rest. I have someone that is an avid hunter trying to get some $$ ideas together for me, but I'm certainly open to feedback. I've heard if you're close to home and can set out your food plots, etc.... that this is advantageous. Look forward to your advice and help.
  24. Trying to be creative since I just lost my job. I have 15 acres in S. Paulding - and thought maybe some hunters out there may want to rent the land for hunting. If anyone knows about this or is interested let me know.
  25. Me too! lol But glad to see we're getting back out here with the rest of the P'Com community! On a side note - I posted for the first time during the floods, and have checked in somewhat regularly since then. It is somewhat amazing the information and help you can find here. Sad when things go a little sour like that ohter post....but overall PCom is awesome.
