  1. Aren't you about ready for these storylines to be over? It's time for everyone to be happy so that they can all get together for the holidays.
  2. Try vitamin D supplements and apple cider vinegar remedies.
  3. Does anyone know of a good doctor for teenagers? One that will actually take the time to listen and will try to be understanding when I say my son has a real needle phobia. Thanks!

    Anyone know

I've raised two sons, now in their thirties with children of their own, and still have a fourteen year old at home. All we can do is do the best we can, and pray for the best to happen. I'm glad yours will be okay and that they have surely learned from this experience. My prayers for you and yours.
  5. I don't think you truly know how hard it is to lose your mother until it happens to you. The sadness is so overwhelming. I lost my mom suddenly 10 years ago. About 4 months after her death I had a dream. In that dream my telephone rang and when I answered it was my mother's voice saying "I'm finally home". When the sadness comes over me, I remember that dream and think about her being "home".
  6. Better than sending rednecks, send over some of the Pcom women.
  7. Any recommendations on a local Methodist Church?

    euchre

At the company I worked for in the seventies and eighties, we would have several tables of people playing at lunchtime in the lunchroom. I have never heard of "pitch".

    euchre

Obviously not many people know what euchre is.
  10. I always buy the crushed tomatoes and diced tomatoes seasoned with basil. Saute chopped onion and crushed red pepper flakes in olive oil, add garlic and mix with tomatoes. No meat - why ruin the taste with meat?
  11. Even my 14 year old son saw it this morning and said it looked cool. Great pictures!

    euchre

Everyone I knew in Indiana knew how to play euchre. We would sit at lunchtime everyday and play and got together a lot on weekends to play. No one that I know here knows how, so I haven't played in over 20 years.

    euchre

Just wondering if there are any other midwestern transplants out there that miss playing euchre.
  14. It's a shame that we have to go to other counties and spend our money to find things for our kids to do.
  15. Showing my age again. Most of you probably don't even know these: Deep Purple by Nino Tempo and April Stevens If I Were a Carpenter by Bobby Darin Lay Lady Lay by Bob Dylan Treat Her Like a Lady by Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose Pieces of April by Three Dog Night (all of their songs are great)
  16. I could go for homemade soup every day, but my picky family wouldn't go for it.
  17. Taco soup is cooking on the stove. Smells great!!
  18. With an suv you don't have to be going fast to get flipped over. I've been hit twice, one time landed upside down and slid, the other time landed on my side. It's easy to get flipped over if you're hit in the right spot. Glad everyone is okay.
  19. Need the....cheap groceries.

    ice hockey

I realize that most people seem to like football around here but I'm sure there are parents and kids that like hockey and there are probably some that know how to ice skate. We go to the Ice Forum in Kennesaw and it's only about 30 minutes away. It would be better if we had a rink closer.
