I think this is great advice! It's important to stay consistant though & don't give in no matter what. She may still cry for a while but as long as you stay firm she will finally understand that thats the way it is & it's time to go to sleep. It's wonderful that you read to her, I think more parents should. I read to my daughter daily since day 1. She is 12 now & is on a 11th grade reading level. Every year she exceeds on the reading & language arts part of the CRCT. Good for you!

Yea, I know. I do agree that having a regular birth is better but my issue is my hips & the fact that I had had a broken pelvis previously. I tried to go the regular route with my first & ended up in labor for 48 hours (no exageration)only to have her end up in distress with an emergency c-section. I don't want to risk that happening again.

Thanks everyone for your replies. for those of who said they did have big babies, Did the dr.'s know how big they would be even @ 28 weeks? did you measure consistantly big throughout your pregnancies? did you have more monitoring because of it? TIA

I listened to him for years before he ever had his own tv show, He really is/was funny. I liked him more before. maybe it's just me, but he has changed since becoming a "star". I find that he goes against alot of what he used to say he believed. for example-his opinion of rudi giuliani. I feel he plays too much toward the conservitave side. Much more than he used to. He used to be alot more sincere IMO. I still like him, I just don't love him like I used to. I wish him the best & hope he dosen't loose his eyesight.

So, I had my 28 week dr. appt. yesterday and the dr. says my baby is HUGE. I measure @ 33 weeks! My daughter was 9.3lbs when she was born so i'm guessing I just produce big babies? They are scheduling a sonogram just to look at him I guess. There is no question as far as the due date goes. It is correct. I'm not sure if I should be, but i'm concerned that i'm so big at only 28 weeks. My dr. seemed just beside herself that he was so large & it made me nervous. (she is a brand new dr. in my network & maybe didn't realize that her reaction was giving me anxiety) Of course my husband is so

I have a friend who constantly misspells words in her facebook status. Such as haveing instead of having or comeing instead of coming. Drives me nuts. She graduated from a private school btw.

after reading about the dog left in the hot car I thought of something else. People who ride around with their dog in the back of their pick-up truck!! I HATE that! After working at a vet for a period of time I can tell you with certanity, they DO fall out! and tying them up while they are back there does not help. They can still fall out...only difference is, they end up breaking their neck or choking to death.
