I have friends who's dog (that has NEVER been mean before) attatcked a little boy they were babysitting. The poor kid was only 2 years old and had to have 100+ stitches in his face. This happend in Cobb co maybe a year or so ago. These same friends of mine own a pit bull, however, it wasn't the pit that attacked the little boy, it was their black lab. go figure. It's weird the story was never aired on the news. I wonder why?

Agreed, I can't speak for other pit owners but mine will stay if we tell them to. reguardless of where they are. We have a large fenced in backyard which is where they do their running and playing. Occassionally we will let them out on the front porch if we are out there as well, they look around and sniff and i'm sure they would like to run be we simply say no and they listen everytime. We don't take chances though, (one is still a puppy. The other one which is a 9 year old pit-mix wouldn't run for anything). one of us will sit in front of the stairs. unfortuntely many of the people who own these dogs are thugs and don't care about the dog to begin with. They are more of an accessory for them. So no, they don't care enough to have them contained or on a leash. I'm super cautious about my dog getting out, not because I fear she will hurt someone, but for fear someone will hurt her because of her breed.

Now do a google search for Pit bull facts, or Pit bull misconceptions. Until you do that your argument isn't fair. Pit bulls are very loyal which is why they are used to fight. They will do whatever their owners want them to do. You say yourself you never owned a pit so how can you tell someone that actually DOES own one that their dog is not loving?

and here we go. I invite anyone who has an issue with this breed to stop by my house anytime and meet my Mona. I have owned dogs my whole life and she is by far the most loving animal I've had the pleasure of owning and loving. A ban on any breed is a ban on common sense. I strongly urge anyone who has questions on this breed to please do your homework. Pit bulls weren't nicknamed "the babysitter" for the hell of it. No, That was not directed at you at all!! I'm saying that the mental health care in this country is severly lacking. People with mental health issues are not being treated correctly by dr.'s. Sorry for the confusion. Guess I could have worded it better.

It's a shame that mental health patients aren't treated (medically)properly in our country. I hope that changes one day soon. we should all be thankful for our sound minds. Thats all I have to say about it.

ewwwwwww. This is why I bring my own linens and blankets (pillows too). It makes for more luggage but it's well worth it.

LOL, The kids i'm thinking of were never corrected. I'm not extremely picky about kids in general, no kid is perfect. It's only when nothing is done and the kid is allowed to continue acting out that I get annoyed.

It was RAMPANT!!! My husband even said after we left "today must be unruly children day". I agree, I witness this type of thing almost every time I go out but seriously, today was oddly different. Holy cow, hubs and I just got home from the New Hope Publix where we were witness to kids throwing themselves on the floor in a meltdown, lots of random yelling and screaming throughout the isles(some of which sounded like wounded animals) Kids of a very young age being allowed to push carts into displays and VERY pregnant women (me). I have to constantly reming my mom that she does not have to yell into her cell phone!! I can hear her just fine. Also, She fails to understand that my home phone has a voice mail and not an answering machine. When I listen to messages from her she'll be sayin "If your there pick up", "Hello, I know you're there"!!

My old neighbor (satan) built his own fence out of plywood(it was beautiful)in between his and my house years ago. We called to find out if it was against a code of any sort and we were told no. go figure We don't live in a neighborhood btw.

I was one of the wackos who watched that show Bachelor Pad that was on this summer. It had past contestants of the Bachelor and Bachelorette on it competing for money. I could not stand the girl Tenley (sp?) she talks like a baby and cried all the time, drove me nuts!!! I also can't stand Kelly Ripa- ever since the whole Clay Aiken thing when he put his hand over her mouth and she got all bent outta shape about it. Even though she had done the same thing to Regis in the past. and, Barbara Walters!!!!!! UGH!!! She claims to me an unbiased "journalist"...yea right.
