He lost the account because of price. The president of the HOA Flat out said that was the one and only reason. No assumptions. I said it in an earlier post.

Thats what my mom told me too! (she was a kindergarden teacher) My daughter was scared to #1 and #2 in the "big potty". she was about 3 an a half by the time she was completely potty trained. Everyone always told me girls were easier than boys which stressed me out even more!!

It was an HOA who canceled, it was a subdivision entrance. and no, they weren't unhappy at all!! in fact they were very pleased with his work. so much so that he actually got many jobs within the neighborhood from it. My husband said there is absolutely no way he could have done the job for less without losing. Which is what lead him to believe the company can't possibly be operating leaglly. The guy flat out said the only reason they were cancelling was to save money. You get what you pay for so I just have to assume that the HOA will be calling him back come next spring. In all honesty I said "suspected" to be fair. I figured if I said they were "for sure" someone would have come back with "well how do you know thy are illegal" (by now I know what to expect on p.com)I just assume my husband knows what he's talking about when he said the business is illegally run. From what I gather the company is illegally run from the top down. Which is why he's as pissed as he is. If he got upset over every company that hires illegal workers the poor man would keel over from an ulcer

My husband understands the business, he's been out-bid many times. It always sucks but he knows it happens. Landscape companies, just like any job specific company know who their competition is. BTW-I never said they were Mexican.

Yep, thats happened before. what sucks is that the new company will be taking credit for the work my husband has already done at least until spring. it will only take some light maintence to keep up what he has done til new growth comes in.
