  1. I hear part of the story line is Past Ren needs a kidney transplant after his be damaged from the meds he took after a hip replacement, and Present Ren is going to donate one of his . . . right after the big dance that takes place after Past Ren's class reunion. All directed by Zac Efron. Speaking of dancing . . .
  2. You're probably right. And they'll make a few sequels . . . which will suck - just like the Twilight "saga".
  3. The Bat in the Spice Cabinet? That sounds like a terrible movie.
  4. Movies - schmovies. I keep having bass problems with my laptop. What's the point of EDM without a strong bass line???
  5. After the case of the "lost" flour, this kind of makes your decision easy - it's time to say good-bye.
  6. And then there's always the chance that a jury ignores the evidence and wants to "stick it to the man" and delivers a guilty verdict.
  7. I think it's the chair. It is clearly from Ikea.
  8. Well . . . I went to 1 Belk store and 1 Target store, 2 Staples and 2 Kohls. But I made it a point to hate it the entire time (except while we were standing in line at Belk and me and the boy went to get hot chocolate for the girls and milkshakes for us - that was nice).
  9. It amuses me when drivers are so "courteous" that they will go out of their way for one car . . . at the expense of every other car on the road.
  10. Several years ago, it was a bit of a novelty to find an open store. We were leaving a family gathering in East Cobb and saw an open Big Lots and, since it was a foreign concept to shop on Thanksgiving, we went in and looked around. Again, it was an odd thing - something you just didn't get to do on Thanksgiving. Now? Now Thanksgiving is pretty much like any other day of the week. The only difference is you can go fight crowds while you are miserably full. So, mojo . . . did you say the BK is open today?
  11. Happy T-day! I hope everyone has a great day! Mine has been somewhat of a letdown so far . . . I got up to find the Thanksgiving Turkey didn't bring me anything at all this year. Guess I was thankful enough throughout the year.
  12. I thought if I reduced it to the absurd, it would be more aligned with the claims you have made throughout this topic. The idea that a guy would plan his own death so his family could collect insurance money is far more believable that your suggestion that everything in Ferguson is a conspiracy that hundreds - if not thousands - are a part of. Don't label things absurd when you obviously lack the ability to define reality.
  13. 2600 words? Did pubby write it? He may have . . . The article tells us that if we are white, we are racists whether we know it or not, whether we admit it or not. It points out some of the common "defenses" against a charge of being a racist and explains why it doesn't matter. So, there you go - white people are racists whether they want to be or not.
  14. No, my friend - complex sentence structure is not the problem . . . It's the nonsensical spin - which makes me dizzy - that is the problem.
  15. I can no longer tell if you are trying to be funny or if you are the joke. If you said the things above in jest, it didn't really come across. If you said the things above and were serious . . . it's just scary and sad. You can try to assign blame to everything but the criminal, but in the end only the criminal is to blame. Your rabbit trail about "two parents, one parent or orphans, it makes little difference" . . . certainly you don't believe that. In most cases, it makes all the difference. And I have no clue why you brought up sex education, unless it to suggest se
  16. Yeah . . . that guy probably planned to get killed so his family could get the insurance money.
  17. Oh. I thought the topic said smart ass . . . not smart phone.
  18. Look, you have to admit it is fascinating to see how certain types of people try to justify or explain things. At the very least, it provides moderate amusement. Pubby's pontificating on the subject does more harm to his cause than anything you might point out.
  19. What a dick. He knows what to say to help people get through this.
  20. Because this isn't "workplace violence" or Americans being beheaded . . . this is serious.
  21. Good - no indictment. Probably . . . and obama is about to take up TV time over this.
