One thing if you actually do check out Orange Beach/Gulf Shores. Stay away from ALL of the Phoenix properties. Over priced. Over crowded. Over rated. Every redneck in the world wants to go to The Phoenix resorts and let their little redneck kids run rampant.

Mine came from Neff. 30 years ago. It's still in good condition, even though it only fits my left leg now.

We make our menu and buy for that. But we also check out the meat specials and look for mismarked items too. So for the following week, we usually build our menu from the specials we found the week before. We will buy a whole beef or pork tenderloin and bring it home, cut it up and vacuum pack it for later. Just as an example, we will buy any cut that is on special. Anytime we see a really good price, we will buy for later.

June is plenty warm. No really specific beaches, they are all nice. Orange Beach is more laid back, less crowded. The Perdido Beach Resort is very nice. Our place is in Caribe Resort although it is not waterfront. Gulf Shores is where the happenings are. Many good restaurants. Lots of attractions for young and old. Gulf Zoo is nice. Waterville. The Track. Goofy golf. Etc. I'm not too sure about GS rentals, we always stay I'm our places. I know that west of Hwy 59, main drag thru GS, there are many waterfront houses to rent. Fort Morgan is way off the beaten path. Not much to do there. Not

Fort Morgan, Al. Lots of rental houses on the water. Ft. Morgan.Ft. Gaines on Dauphin Island. Take the car ferry to Dauphin Island. Way cool for a tween. USS Alabama all nearby. Plenty of good places to eat. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach all in the same area. These two may be better suited for your older son. Many tween things to do. Bungee jumping. Goofy golf. Go carts. Etc. All the crap boys like to do.
