This hits a personal note with me as I spent the first two weeks of June making myself crazy trying to find help for someone. Why can't accidents be accidents? No, I don't think Lowe's is liable. The person could had insisted that a Lowes employee open the box for him. Same thing could have happened if he'd needed the amount of "t's" in the box, bought the entire box, carried it home (or had it delivered) and opened it at home and was cut.
