Ok so I still get the daily phone calls from the school. We tried the Attentive Child and it had the total opposite affect on him than it was suppose to. He have him eating cheerios in the morning and he mainly eats chicken and etc. The day we gave him the attentive child he was worse than he has ever been. He GOT OUT OF THE SCHOOL and made it to the playground. Well I guess the teacher helping in this is very frustrated b/c he came home yesterday and said she hurt his arm and he has bruises on it. I informed the school today.Is there any other vitamins or stuff I can try with him?

Thank you for all the wonderful advice. We are going to see what the doctor thinks as well. My husband and his sister both had it and were put on meds. We want to do the best for him weather it involves meds or not.

That's what we are doing. We knew he was excited about school. We told his doctor about what the school said so they are going to observe him. He listens to us at home with little to no problem other than he can't stay still for anything. He plays well by himself and plays fairly well with his other siblings of course they fight from time to time and he is more emotional than the other two.

Thank you very much. We are having him observed and filling out forms(me and the school). The school and his doc are observing him. My son does have the temper and switches emotions quickly. My husband and sil had it as well. My son sounds very much like this. He is pushing kids and understands he is doing something wrong. He will tell you. He thought he had a good day friday and when I told him he didn't he cried.

I have the school telling me all this stuff and now my mother-n-law telling me she has always known he is a little bit autistic

Thank you. It was the princ. that called me on all 3 days. They said they expect somethings and from kids that haven't been in pre-k but he is past that. We went to the school and talk with her and watched him as well. We talked about all those things. A couple examples are he would come in and start coloring and then just get up and run around, then it was story time she was reading the book with some kind of pop up and then he got up and tried to take it. He said he wants to be good in school and now thinks his teacher hates him. also when he is stand and talking to you he will start hop

Well hello to you to. I never said medicate him. I have read that medication isn't always needed for all kids with it. But he has pretty much been like this but has progressed since starting school. The school said it isn't normal and has called me everyday. Just wanted more insight not rudeness. He will listen to someone one on one to a point. Thanks

I need some insight on signs of add/adhd. I have already started the paperwork with my son's ped but would like any info anyone may have please. Is some of the signs like staying focused for only a short amount of time, running around, getting up and down, easily distracted, etc? My son just started K and is having these problems. It's not as bad at home but is when he is near others.

I agree. Kids do and say some of the cutest things. We have the Airwick automatic air freshener and it went off and my 4yr old told it "bless you"
