WOW just wow!!!! I am so glad you know EVERYTHING!!! His doctor made the referral so we didn't have to wait and wait for appointments. He only has adhd and nothing else. I asked for advice before we knew for sure and before we knew if meds were actually needed. Please take your negativity somewhere else. You are making this so much more than it actually is.

Yes I know he is being tested for other things and that is what they said was wrong. At home he wasn't that bad. He is on a schedule at home as well. The only main problems we had at home was the running and constant movement but we got that under control to a point where he wouldn't run away anymore.

Doctor said he is still having some problems with impluse control and will have to up his meds but they do that weekly. But I get to pick him up Monday!!! So is it Monday yet

When I talked to him last night he said "Mommy I'm being good" I started to tear up b/c they made him feel like he was the worst kid ever at school(That's what the school told me word for word) Yep. When they told me that I wasn't able to get his doctor on the phone and when I asked if there was a closer one they said no because his age.

No they didn't. They told me that was the closest one

So on Monday my son's doctor decided to do an emergency evaluation on him. So we end up spending 10hrs at the Cobb hospital with a phychologist. From there we ended up taking him to Crescent Pines Hospital. It has been determined that he does in deed have ADHD. The doctor there said the school didn't handle this correctly and that with them being so negative caused him to basically go into a shock and was acting out and you can't do that with a child with special needs. He thinks the school went over board. They said he is adjusting to the meds but is still having some problems with the other

Thank you. We have a plane and a lion stress balls that he can use. Also can you give me an example as to special curved crayons, or pencils please. What would the mt dew do if he is extremely hyper? We are doing the chart system and I am getting a treasure box for when he does good with his chart.

Yep he came home thinking he did good and I told him he didn't he cried and I started tearing up too b/c I know he is trying his best. He said he likes school and they put him in a desk in a corner already I'm going to do what is best and I know each child is different. Thanks

It didn't work. they have another teacher helping as well and he is just to hyper for them. We thought the same thing. I just spoke with them again and they think he can't help it.

Thank you everyone. We have started changing his diet. And he is pretty much normal at home to us other than he can not stay still for anything. He knows his manners and everything but as soon as he is at school it triples. He runs out the class room, and now he threw his shoe, and when he comes home he will do his home work and you can see on his face how hard he is trying. Just consent movement.
