One of my favorite cover bands will be playing at the Cove in August. Anyone ever been there? I smoke an occasional cigar but I hate being inside a room with cigarette smoke. Is this place one of those? Thanks for any info.

But the NAACP is FOR the TSPLOST. Really screws up that kind of strategy and forces people to think for themselves, doesn't it? Senator Vincent Fort, a black Democrat is against it. This TSPLOST is really not following any of the typical party lines (with the exception of LPPT and Johnny J).

I think the sheeple are rebelling everywhere about this silly tax attempt. They thought if they could get the NAACP on board they could use the race card on all the "non-pigmented" people. It was funny as hell to see the black leaders come out and denounce the TSPLOST.

Wow! Way to avoid responding to my statement. The fact is I can get anywhere in Atlanta in about an hour without the 14% tax.

Oh good God! Let's not be a drama queen. You have bought the glossy commercials hook, line and sinker. Number one, this 14% tax that you keep referring to as a penny is not going to make a 2 hour difference in anyone's daily commute. Number two, my wife works in Midtown and I work all over town, and unless there is a wreck that shuts down an interstate, there is nowhere in Atlanta that I can't get to in just over an hour. Decatur, which is on the opposite side of Atlanta, takes me 50 minutes during the morning rush. This is not a well thought out plan. This is not a solution.

I agree with you about everything except the one contractor that is here in Paulding. I don't think there is one left since Aiken and Ellis Astin are no longer with us. This is a huge commitment for very little results. The cost / benefit just don't add up on this one.

There is a very scientific method of determining when it is the right time to vote for a self-imposed tax. Sorry, that was for shooting a monkey into space, which is precisely where our money will be if we willingly give it to a bunch of damn politicians. VOTE NO only because there isn't a HELL NO on the ballot.

The traffic problem going into town on I-20 could be fixed by putting ten state patrolmen at the 285 interchange a couple of mornings a month to ticket the ENTITLED drivers that don't think they should have to wait in line like everyone else.

Yep. Buy an insecticide at Home Depot that kills biting flies. I can't remember the name. Get the stuff that you can put in a garden hose sprayer and spray all the low hanging tree limbs and bushes. I sprayed them a couple of years ago when they got real bad. It helped. BTW, I hate those little bastwads so bad that I talk trash to them when I kill one of them.

YEP! They were open tonight and we were not impressed either. If you are going to cook a steak that you sell for $20 or more, that sombatch had better be cooked over charcoal. I can get one of those salty, gas cooked steaks at Waffle House that tastes a little better. Nice idea but they need me to bring my egg down there and show 'em how to cook a steak. It was not bad, just not what I expected.

Yep. Virginia Gunn used to do some "people on the street" type remotes. There was a guy that everyone called Spiderman (I have forgotten his real name) that did the window washing at the 72 floor Peachtree Plaza Hotel (what is now the Westin Downtown). He was known for kicking off the building once and screaming down a rappelling rope 70 floors to the ground. Virginia took a couple of trips with him across the lobby of the Plaza on a rope. She was a full blown hottie. Well I'll be darn. It's on youtube.
