  1. Sodomy, between same or opposite sex, has always been punishable in the military. See Article 125 of the UCMJ http://usmilitary.about.com/library/milinfo/ucmj/blart-125.htm
  2. Headed here in a few...aloha! http://www.stregisprinceville.com/dining/mailani-dinner-show/
  3. I ALWAYS left something for our mail carrier, Perry. When my husband was in Afghanistan, he always stopped to ask how he was doing and to thank him for his service. I miss being on his route.
  4. oh heck noooooooooooo!!!! I fly to Hawaii early Monday morning. I have to get away from this cold and there cannot be any delays!
  5. SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! I didn't know that! OMG, my husband is going to crap himself when I tell him! And then I'm going to point and laugh.
  6. LOVE IT!!! I wasn't sure about Lumen either, but now I really like her and what she adds to the show. My husband always tries to figure out what is going to happen next. I like to let my brain relax and watch it as it happens. I can't wait for Sunday night!! The only thing that sucks is that you know they are going to leave a cliffhanger. I hate that.
  7. My house in Paulding was on City of Dallas water. When we moved out, with no water usage, the bill was still $26. And they do not allow you to cancel the $11 garbage service even though I wasn't using it. When we lived in the house, the bill was still $26 because it was one adult in the house most of the time. I guess it's impossible to get a zero bill, silly me thought we wouldn't have to pay water once we moved out. Pffft.
  8. I was surprised to see my first water bill after moving to Cobb. In Cobb it was $15 more a month for the same amount of water usage in Paulding.
  9. http://www.ajc.com/news/cobb/funds-for-cobb-water-767625.html I didn't vote for Olens either, but it looks like he's the one that stopped this.
  10. I used Stanley Steemer and they were great. Very professional, not shady or creepy at all. Did a great job and my couch was like new.
  11. Reuniting is so incredible, there is no way to explain the amount of emotions. But be warned, there are some negatives to it as well. Let her dictate where she wants the relationship to go. Right now I know you are all excited but that does wear off and then comes some different, very raw emotions. I'm not trying to take away your joy or lecture you. I know this situation VERY well as I was adopted and have since reunited with the majoirty of my family. I have a great relationship with them and love them with all my heart. But there are some issues I, as an adoptee, have had to deal with
  12. I sincerely hope that Yoda does find a permanent home where he'll be allowed inside the house, treated like part of the family, and loved unconditionally. Poor pup.
  13. WHy should they get in trouble? Everyone's job sucks at times, especially the military. I'd be more worried if they were gung ho, super motivated 100% of the time.
  14. Ummm, you still pay for Tricare, even though it's a "benefit" of military retirement. So I'm actually paying for a service and not getting full use of it.
  15. I simply cannot find a certain specialty doctor that takes Tricare (government insurance very similar to Medicare). I gave up because every single office I called stated they either do not accept TriCare or they are no longer taking new patients with Tricare. My primary doctor has tried to help and he can't find anyone either.
  16. But but but, the sea salt makes them "all natural"!
  17. More rights for the 11th letter of the Greek alphabet!!! Sorry, I needed a laugh.
  18. Dangit, I always DVR it so I can watch later without my husband bitching about it. What's the premise?
  19. Can't you just bring Yoda in the house too?
  20. It's too bad they don't put the pictures on PCom like they do in print obituaries. The pictures always make it so much more human than some plain, black print.
  21. That was my favorite thing to do when I lived in Massachusetts. The cemetaries there were amazing, dating all the way back to The Mayflower era, especially in Salem and near Concord. It's kinda fun to make up stories in your head about the families, using the dates, names, etc. When I first met my biological family, the first thing my grandfather did was take me to see all my ancestors graves ( I even have pictures of them). That's how I knew that a love of cemetaries must be genetic.
  22. I'm the same way. In fact, when my FIL died recently, we made sure to put that he died from "Pick's Disease". The cause fo death was listed to hopefully get people to learn a little more about the disease. I often look to the "donations" part to figure out how they died. I don't think it's morbid at all, I think it's human nature to want to know "why". But I also like cemetaries, so maybe I am a little morbid, I don't know.
  23. If it's UVerse, I hope you get the installer that I had. Although he wasn't late so maybe it's not him. He even gave me his personal cell to call if I had any problems. A few days later, I had ADT installing my alarm system. The ADT guy thought he couldn't configure the system because of the UVerse. So I called UVerse guy up, he came over in within 15 minutes and taught the ADT guy everything he needed to know about installation. I've never had service like that with anyone before.
