  1. Katey Sagal We are related through our Amish background that she was not aware of. Thinking she had no relatives, now she has 500,000 to 1 Million as of a descendant of Jacob Hochstedler. Have found other Paulding residents to be my cousins, too, even 6 generations back. Nice to know your roots.
  2. I haven't been on for a while so don't know but big yellow signs are on 278 from Carl Black to Westside Bank for lot #s, overflow parking, and such. Any ideas?
  3. I'm a bit slow to notice sign changes so when did the speed limits change on 278? West of Buchanan Hwy only 55? From Hospital through Hiram 45?
  4. Has anyone heard of earning up to about $40K for early retirees and not lowering the soc. sec. benefits per month? I heard this is new for 2015 and don't see an update on soc.sec./gov website.
  5. Probably not valid now if the office is closed/out of business. Sorry
  6. If you still want some, there is a pick your own place on Marshall Fuller Rd just past Ruff Harris if you're going down from 61. Sorry, I don't have the ph#.
  7. I did get notice of his retirement and was able to get email attachments of recent x-rays. Could be many of his patients weren't current or didn't have up-to-date addresses. Hate to think more drs. will be retiring with the new health care laws.
  8. Just letting you know that we love you and pray that you may find peace and comfort. So sorry for you loss. God bless you, the children, grandchildren, and family. Love, Karen and George
  9. Dearest Sweet Cousin, I was so glad I found Judy working at Cobb Hospital and to know she cruised my Dad's drive in when she was a teen. What a small world we live in when we just open up to people. Rest in very peaceful sleep. No more sorrow, no more pain. Love, Karen E.
  10. Posting for the family of Jerry, Joy, and Jacob Sharp. Also Ron, Sonya (Sharp), Travis and Lisa English. Mr. J.W. Sharp, age 88 of Austell, passed away March 15, 2012. Mr Sharp served in the United States Navy during World War II, retired from Wilson's Food and then retired from Atlanta Provisions. He was member of Davis Chapel Baptist Church; he loved his garden, gospel music, and most of all his family. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Pauline Allen Sharp; daughter, Theresa Womack of Dallas; sons, Jerry Sharp of Douglasville, Danny Joe Sharp of Douglasville, Michael Anthony Sharp
  11. We are not at low enough income to get mileage reimbursement. We only have my hubby insured with VA as he hasn't been insured for 3 years and our combined income qualified us for no premiums, but use of their services, facilities, and clinics. Thank God for that 'cause that's why we found out he has prostate cancer. Gator, thanks for the links.
  12. Thanks so much for your help. I did stop at the Dallas Legion so I hope to get a call back. Sounds like the Cartersville resource is worth checking out too. My hubby is not disabled so can't get transportation help and we are not poor enough, yet, to get reimbursement for mileage. Thank you vets for all you have done and continue to do.
  13. I am new to the VA Hospital scene in Atlanta. Does anyone know if we have anyone that provides transportation services directly to the hospital without having a fee for insurance-like drivers? What kind of VA services do we available in Paulding? Thanks for your help.
  14. My daughter moved recently and now her "escape artist" has gotten out of the fence. Bridgette is very dark red with a lot of black fur. She is as sweet as can be, will roll over and let you rub her tummy, but she hates being fenced in. Hopefully, someone will find her. She could be anywhere by now as there are open fields nearby. Paradise is in the Sweetwater Church Rd and Austin Bridge Rd area. Please let me know if you see or hear of a mini dachshund hunting around. Thanks so much for your concern and help.
