What she said. There's not a single day goes by, I don't have to preach this to folks.

GOOD....and I totally concur with the latter statement, as well!

OK...after reading all of this, I feel bad about my rant on FB about "why did it take THIS LONG to track down and kill a Muslim over 6 FEET tall and on dialysis???" Sure....I'm with yall....may he suffer whatever our Creator deems fit for him. But eluding the US special forces for this many years??? Oh HAYELL NO!! I'm sure we probably found him within less than a week (when we first began), and some high ranking "sell out" told them to back off. Fact is, there's no way the US Govmt could validate their need for more money, for the (military industrial complex) as Dwight coined it, had they

NO!!! I have liability issues I have to consider. My own PERSONAL trimming mower is exactly what you are talking about. There is no cable of bar to hold down. Doesn't even have a rubber priming bulb...but a choke instead. I took an excellent mulching frame and sat a 6HP brand new, Briggs engine on it that came from a pressure washer. The guy didn't want to pay for a pump (which is high), so he just said keep the dang thing. Ergo, I used the engine on my trimming mower. It's awesome, but I couldn't sell things like that to the public, since bypassing safety switches is a no-no. Now, i can tell

Your post was very uplifting! Sounds like you had a GREAT time. Good for you!!! You said it!!! Even the most beautiful weather still cannot compete with good company, family, friends & neighbors.

Not much....I was hoping if I came over and played your piano for you, you might feed me some dinner...even potted meat would be cool with me! Glad to hear you got your work done though~ Oh, btw...if that gearhead gets too bad (here's a little tip)---> FLIP the gear over so you can use the good side that is left!

Today has been a beauty too! I finally got to pick up my first mower today with my new trailer, after finishing it up this past Friday. Groovy!!!

The ethanol doesn't really hurt automobiles, because of the mechanics involved. While it won't DESTROY your engine on a lawn mower, it WILL, however, wreak havoc with your carburetor. I don't of any place where you can buy gas without ethanol in it. BUT, like the other poster said, if you add STA-BIL to your gasoline for your outdoor equipment, then regular gas is fine to use. Don't waste money on Premium gas, because it has ethanol in it just like the cheap stuff does (only more octane). A small bottle of STA-BIL is about $5.00 and should treat all the gas you'll need for the whole season. A

Without giving away my secrets, some of the best places to fish are not "kid friendly", close to the road, and full of snakes. But MAN!!! Nice largemouth bass, but if the kids like fishing like I did when I was young, they wouldn't mind standing on a culvert and reeling in bream as fast as you can.....would they? In other words, the fishing is AWESOME, but it's off the side of the road...no pic nic tables, etc. You just bring your cooler full of drinks, and 2-3 cans of potted meat, a pack of soda crackers, and pickled sausages, then you're good to go. You can get night-crawlers at the convenie

Worked all day out in the beautiful weather! Loved it!

I'm glad you had a good day. I also did myself, although mine wasn't as exquisite as yours sounds. Worked all day, but out in the sun, perfect weather, watching my finches fly food into their bird house, dog lying around, the AWESOME smell of Ether in the air......neighbors coming by to say hello, and customers who like to chew the fat for a few mins....life is good, and TODAY was really nice! So, I'm with you on this!!

Sheriff Accepting Unwanted Drugs Saturday 10am-4pm

At first glance, I thought this a dumb idea. And probably still is, EXCEPT for overuse of antibiotics, and flushing them. Very good point, that validates the whole topic, IMO. That sounded two-sided....so, let me re-phrase, if I may... ANTIBIOTICS should be disposed of with more care than most anything I can think of. As far as other drugs, especially pain killers, and other drugs that people abuse today, I would suggest flushing those down the toilet. I would think that disposing of any kinds of drugs that kids can get high on, should be flushed ASAP. BUT NOT antibiotics, because that -

Seriously??? I have had some bad inter-actions with maybe 1-2 Rx's I can think of....they were SSRI's, and both caused severe mania (hence my apprehensive remark on the subject)---I FLUSHED THEM DOWN THE TOILET....then later when I saw my Dr. we shot for a much more effective measure which worked miracles. ...basically a Valium whenever I feel too stressed, but don't want the dang thing to last more than 3-4 hours. And it;s not an EVERY DAY thing..just on those days when I'm losing control of my anger/composure. Sorry, but the last time my Dr. gave me a Xanax, it was CLEAR that this was to -
It sucks to the point, that I don't understand why people are waiting in lines at Kroger to pump gas, when Grands has it for the SAME price. Sure, you can use your 10% off (if you haven't, otherwise, it will be while!) 10 cents per gallon....so, if it took $20 to fill up my car, it would cost me $2.00 more to go to a gas station where people aint LINED UP and waiting to pump. I mean, DAYUM!!!! Is it really worth all that stress and sitting there (time IS money) for a mere 10 cents a gallon? I probably average $10 per month in just cleaning out between the cushions on my sofa and loveseat. Wait

The really BIG ones are common in tornado alley. But GA has its share of smaller twisters pretty much every Spring, some worse than others, but always the same- we watch the weather during the Spring!! And thanks for replying. I did not want to sound condescending to anyone. I just know a few friends who live here, but are not from here....(from Buffalo to LA) so I have had to fill them in. My buddy from LA said he'd take an earthquake over a tornado any day! I would disagree, simply because quakes are more wide-spread and cause more damage on a much larger scale. While he concurs, it's t

You're very welcome~~

I was worried about this too, since my new dog, Buddy was obviously upset about things. After locking him (and myself) in the sound proofed basement, we could hear a mouse-fart in this place! He's all cooled out, and we can't hear a thing, cept what I turn on the Boob Tube!! Meanwhile, I know for a fact he loves Pink Floyd, Animals!!! Let the Sheep begin!!

Looking for a good interactive weather map for here?

The one I linked to is a time lapse deal...but if you click on the last far right blue bar, it will stop and hold at it's current location. I'm sure there are probably others too...perhaps much better. I just finally found this and thought it would be of some help to someone. -
Been this way since I was born here. Atlanta is located below the Appalachian Mountains (which hold back cold air long enough to get REALLY cold) then when the warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico rises up into our area, they have this massive fight!!! The Cold, very cold air from the backside of the Smokey's (as we call them) finally tips over and collides with the hot surge of high-humidity air from Alabama. With all due respect- WELCOME TO THE PEACH STATE!!!! While we Georgian's swap our share of jokes about Alabama (it's reciprocal, believe me) I still say the BEST thing that came outa

The thunder quickly passed and that was that. However, there seems to be a red spot in Villa Rica heading our way.

At 50 views and no comments, I apologize if I may have insulted anyone's intelligence. I just thought it was a great site that showed a lot of detail, play-by-play, and user-friendly for zooming and panning. -
