It was a shed in back of the house, not the house itself. Beats me on the exploding windows thing.???

Now, THAT'S what I mean by someone speaking their mind! Love it. No, Pubby....no dem's or rep's, or any other party affiliation....merely the nature of people to go berserk when they know that calamity is a'comin'! Surely, we have seen enough small things in this country by now to make us question whether I am am wrong or right (only time will tell), but the proof seems to be overwhelming, based on past incidents. Thanks for verifying my point I was trying to make.

RomanGirl??? Ha! I got you now! This was in my neighborhood, and VERY close to me. Very scary, but no one got hurt, so it's good on that part. We are just happy that the damage was contained before the fire spread any further. I was actually walking over there to ask my friend a question, then BOOMM~~ landing flat on my butt. Got up, and grabbed the cell phone and called 911....who were very quick to respond!! Thank you, Paulding Fire Department~~ Of course, it took my heart about an hour to stop beating like crazy, but at least no person got hurt. It could have been worse, but we a

I agree with you, only I think they would do everything in their power to keep it a secret, simply because the world would tear itself apart before the actual crisis occurred.

Awwww! I hated reading this. Send him my best! I hope he gets well soon. I love that old feller to death!

Lawn Mower Repairs-----you really should check this out!
subby1 replied to subby1's topic in Business NEWS
All day long! -
I had a lady bring a mower to me today to fix. She took it to a mower shop, and they wrote up an estimate that was....well....ridiculous!! Almost $200 for a dang push mower!! Now, I'm not slamming anyone (in fact, I don't even know who wrote the estimate), but I got her fixed up for $90...$100 LESS than if she had taken the mower to the people who gave her an estimate. FOLKS!!!...Listen...I charge for what is needed, and nothing more. I know you guys aint made out of money, and it really disturbed me that anyone would try to charge someone more than double than I did. I won't go into details,

Happy to do it. You've been a great regular customer for a long time, and that means the world to me, so I just want to make sure you're satisfied. I appreciate the bizz as much on my end. I'm just glad you're happy with the service. I've got your back, buddy!

If you're still in the market for just a nice basic push mower, here's you one. Murray, 22" cut, with a powerful, silky smooth running Briggs 6.0 HP engine. Nice and quiet, starts on first pull, and almost no vibration. Very sweet!! Listed on craigslist for $90, but I will ask $80 for any pcommer. Nice tight machine that should last a long time, and provide great service! Cash only, please. Glenn 678-315-8794

Sorry folks...two prices were shown, so I fixed it this morning thanks to a head's up from a friend. The actual price is $400, but I might be willing to take $350 cash if someone wants it by this weekend.

Craftsman Riding Mower (slightly vintage, but an awesome little sucker!) Fiberglass body, full-fledged 3 speed tansmission (with a fast reverse), reconditioned blade, fully re-adjusted to perfection, gas line shut off valve, 7.0 HP Tecumseh engine. I know that doesn't seem like a lot of HP, but this thing will pull wheelies and tear it down!! I am asking $300 on craigslist, but I will let it go for 250.....maybe a little less...just not less than 200. 26" cut, btw.....single blade. Glenn 678-315-8794 yes...I know the wheel is a bit ugly...but it holds air~~~~~ This is a try it, t

I have a nice Red Murray Tractor for hauling trailers, or for adding a new deck if you need a lawn mower. Cleaned carb, new air filter, battery, cranks and starts on first strike! Great machine. Tractor only!!! There is no deck, but everything is in tact to add one is you want to convert to a mower. Nice, tight steering, good seat with no cracks, etc. Perfect as a lawn tractor for hauling a trailer, and deck lever is still intact for anyone wanting to add a cutting deck. $400 cash.

Rising Fuel prices are starting to affect the economy

Not to worry...Ethanol has almost no negative effects on today's automobiles, but it's devastating to standard outdoor smaller engines. Small engine carb's are what this alcohol (ethanol) destroys, in a short period of time. -

I like him already! Not sure how old he is, but there was a time when ethanol was not in gasoline- I remember the days very well. -

Put STA-BIL in your gas cans!!! I preach this to every customer!! My own personal equipment has sat "covered by a tarp" in the snow from all winter....fires up every season, simply because of this (and regular maintenance). Stabilizers were somewhat doubtful to me when they first came out, but in my business, I have found that they are the savior of all outdoor equipment. NOTE: ETHANOL RUINS SYNTHETIC RUBBERS AND OTHER COMPONENTS IN SMALL ENGINES!!!! Ethanol allows WATER to condense into the mix creating RUST...not good, and I could go on and on. Proof is in the pudding, and I KNOW what -

I hear ya!! (sarcasm noted) so, I have to increase my rates of fixing mowers, because it didn't take long to figure out how much fresh gasoline we need to purge equipment! That sucks....I hate raising rates for anyone. -
Crazy stuff happens when you get older, I reckon. I hope the misery dissolves, at the least.

I guess I'm lucky that most all of my friends smoke then. However, there are differences in HOW people smoke...for instance, I know folks who smoke with their windows closed in a car...GROSS!!! And they have like a million butts in their ash trays. As an avid smoker, taking a ride with people in their cars who smoke like that, (I) can tell a HUGE difference. It gags me to death. I always need good ventilation, and as a lefty (south-paw) we tend to hold our smokes right up against the window, so it blows out. There's "clean" smokers and "nasty-stinky" smokers, and if I can tell the difference,

I just can't picture you being mean to anyone! You're such a sweetheart!! But you take that vacation if you think you need to~~ Benedryl does one thing to me, and one thing only- puts me in a comatose sleep! However, it does have some bad effects, similar to when a child is sleepy but won't sleep, so they get cranky. It can also tend to let fluid build up over night, especially around the eyes (puffy) and makes it harder for me to get my day going in the morning after.
