I don't have a problem waiting in line most of the time, but drive-thrus are different. You go through those because of convenience, don't have to leave your car and it should be the fastest. There are signs at banks saying "no more then 3 transactions", "no rolled coins", and be prepared when it's your turn, etc. Out of the 3 banks I visit regularly, one is a repeat offender for "Friend Encounters" where they spend several minutes "catching up". I know this because I can hear their conversation loud and clear over the intercom. Yep, I have even gone inside to complain. I d

They are poisonous, although an average child would have to eat a couple hundred leaves. maybe concerned about the hazard -- haha

There is a long process to terminate a federal employee. Obviously, she did not resign.

They can be heavy, but just make sure to get the biggest root ball you can find so the greater odds of it surviving being re-planted. Put it in the ground asap -- dig the hole extra large too & use potting soil and stake it the first year to keep it from falling over and tearing the new roots. Lots of water the first summer.

Target defends Black Friday hours amid protest

A. The point is if banks can close for every holiday (and still be in business), then other private companies can do the same. B. Again, i say there are those that would consider the post office private. --- the postal service has several non-governmental powers under USC Title 39, Section 401, which include : The power to sue (and be sued) under its own name; The power to adopt, amend and repeal its own regulations; The power to "enter into and perform contracts, execute instruments, and determine the character of, and necessity for, its expenditures"; The power to buy, sell and lease -

There are those that consider the postal service "private", the gov restricts their hours. Banks are all about profits, however they are not open more than a few hours a day, and definitely not on a recognized holiday. The gov does not control their hours, so are they concerned for their employees well being? -

A national holiday should be observed for all "non essential" jobs. The banks and post office seems to have no problem closing. In the old days, the airlines didn't fly on christmas either. -
Target defends Black Friday hours amid protest

This topic is becoming confusing to me. (Not that that is hard to do) During a job interview, I have never asked if I could take all holidays off including Washington's Birthday, MLK day, Christmas Day, Veteran's day, Thanksgiving Day, Columbus day, etc., etc., etc. Note: These are not all religious holidays, but are federally recognized holidays. List of Federal Holidays If any of these holidays were that important to me, I would do the research before applying. If the holiday is not observed, I might attempt to take a vacation day during that period. Or I would just suck it up. -

I would. I've always have and have always been blessed to have a door open for me when one closed. I have had to work holidays and vacations when EVERYONE else was off. I didn't always enjoy working, but acknowledged the fact that the work had to be done. So have many others. So yes, I would THANKful. -

I admit I would hate having to work on a holiday. At the same time, I also admit I would be "THANK"ful for having employment. -
Thank you! That is very good to hear!

Some things bare repeating. Hope she is ok. I believe she was my teacher also. Praying she is ok.

Trying to absolutely verify that no one was driving down in this dense fog without their lights on. I did pull on out after quadruple checking. No one was there thankfully. Up the road, sure enough a silver (same color as the fog -- so it was basically invisible) drove towards me without any lights on, fog or headlights! What is wrong with people? Losing one friend just before the holidays isn't enough for some folks...

The plain 'ol tvs are cheaper now because the high end ones have the 3D technology and the higher refresh rates and have internet connections, etc. If you are looking for the basic tv, this is a good time to buy. Depending on what size you want, there are some good deals this friday. If you are comparing reliability and brand names, then consumer reports maybe your best answer. Best Buy will have a $199 Sharp 42" 1080p LCD HDTV (LC-42SV49U)on friday and although i would not buy another dynex, they have a Dynex 55" 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV (DX-55L150A11) for $599 Wally World is going t

I didn't know Mr. Easterwood personally, but a lot of my coworkers did. He worked at Douglasville Ace Hardware for many years and his death was very unexpected, the result of a heart attack. Thought some of you might know him. I know he will be missed by many. This was taken from the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Site: Jones-Wynn Obituary for Barry Easterwood Mr. John Barry Easterwood, age 54, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 at his residence. A native of Douglas County, Barry was born December 8, 1956, the son of the late Mr. Glen Anderson Easterwood and

I think this is the point he was trying to make: Interrogation is the questioning of the vehicle driver and occupants during the process of the investigation to determine if a crime is has been or is currently being committed. (the point is, if there is no probable cause, why are you being stopped/detained, it is just fishing)- and yes, you are being detained until cleared. Search is what they do while looking for evidence of a crime. (you would not allow an officer to randomly pick your house, walk around to every window shining a flashlight in there looking for any excuse to cite you

You missed my disclaimer. I should have also clarified that I don't lump them all together. Unfortunately, those are the ones that get my attention. Just like the teacher or priest who molests a kid or, as you pointed out, an accountant who launders money. Every profession has good and bad people, even who thinks it is ok to bend the rules however slightly. Do you think it is really a bad thing to expect officers, etc. to set an example by following the same rules they enforce. Rolling through a stop sign obviously doesn't make you a bad, evil, or corrupt person, but it does not se

I do have the utmost respect for our law enforcement, fire fighters, rescue personnel and our military. For most, I understand they entered that field to ensure and protect our safety. Many came into that field with the best intentions. That said, these folks are also human. SOME will develop attitudes, SOME will feel entitled, SOME will abuse their authority, etc. I've said before that I hold these folks to a higher standard. I don't feel a fire fighter should be given a pass if he sets his ex-wife's boyfriends house on fire or should a paramedic ignore a person who appears to

No problems. I knew that the "Warning" ended at 1:15.

We are under a "Watch" until 7:00 tonight.

I remember a driving class once that explained that you should always be able to see the wheels of the vehicle in front of you when stopped. Allows you room to get around them in case they break down or someone tries to break into your car. That lesson always stuck with me. Being crappy at distances, I don't know how much room that leaves you, but I always try to make sure I can see that car's back tires in front of me.

They should feel lucky they do not live in jericho, arkansas. If you don't like their speed traps, they will shoot you in the back -- in the court room. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32680338/ns/us_news-crime_and_courts/#.TsLOClaix6Y
