  1. I am guessing that if you use your debit card but charge it as a credit card (say through Mastercard or VISA) then you will probably get the surcharge added. I would like to see in writing whether or not there will be a surcharge for using your debit card as a credit card. I will have to call my bank and find out.
  2. UGH! Thank you for posting this info as this will greatly affect my shopping and my husband along with his co-workers who have to travel with their jobs.
  3. Estate auctions. I have a solid 6 chair, 2 leaf pecan dining table with 2 matching buffets and china hutches, and a matching tea cart that I purchased at an estate auction. To me it is all worth more than I paid for it.
  4. OH NO! I love a snow day sometimes and always will, but FREEZING RAIN is an entirely different ball game in Georgia. It's because of the pines. Our particular type of pine trees have sap that will slow or even freeze. Add to that the weight of freezing rain (ice coating) on the limbs and the pine branches will be breaking everywhere, then coming down on power lines. National Weather Service forecast for Dallas GA National Weather Service Hazardous Weather Outlook for Paulding Co Ga Here is a link to a map for potential ice accumulation amounts and areas in GA. It is currently showing .25 in
  5. He was actually sworn in YESTERDAY. Today is just a publicity stunt.
  6. Ron's Upholstery 407 Hannan Drive Temple, GA. (770) 714-9514 On Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/rons.upholstery He grew up around the upholstery business and has done it all his life. He does this full time. His wife frequently posts before and after pics on her FB page of his work projects. Pillows, chairs, couches, BOAT cushions, auto upholstery, motorcycle seats, jet ski seats and deer stand cushions! You name it and if it's upholstery he has probably done it. All of the project pics look great!
  7. I doubt it is that or I would probably have the problem with fresh baked yeast rolls or breads. I don't. I have been thinking it is the hops but I don't know that for sure.
  8. My doctor (primary care) told me years ago to simply soak them in a little bleach water for a few minutes once a week, then rinse well with tap water. It doesn't even have to be a large amount of bleach, just a little. Less than 1 part bleach to 3 parts water (so bleach is cut to less than 25% or 1/4 of the mix) is what I use. You can probably make it much weaker than that and still kill the germs. Then of course replace the brush as normal every few weeks. My dentist with a masters degree agrees with my primary doctor on this, so I try to remember and do it as directed.
  9. Thank you! I will look for them next time I shop.
  10. 1)Asparagus! I cannot stand the smell or the taste and I grew up eating a LOT of home grown garden vegetables. 2)Salmon, oysters and most seafood. I don't care if it's fried, smoked or even fresh baked I cannot stand the smell or the taste. I do eat some types of fish (bass, tilapia, etc.) and shrimp but that's it as far as seafood or fresh water fish. 3)Brains, necks, spines, etc from animals. Like someone else said they can contain disease and if you eat it then you are eating that animal's brain chemistry which I have a theory that it can affect your own. 4)Beer, believe it or not I have
  11. I do not know about everyone else but we are not even members of the NRA by choice. He is simply trying to do his normal ammo shopping but can't find what he is looking for. Yes, we normally purchase 500-1000 rounds at a time for this and a few other types of ammunition or their components. When you are always prepared then you don't need to get "riled up." We have plenty of guns as my husband has been collecting since he was a teen. We are fairly sure that only the sales of certain guns MIGHT be banned, not the ownership for those who currently own them. Those are two entirely different thing
  12. The average temp of a house fire is roughly about 1200 F' with hot spots or trailer homes running MUCH higher. The time they can handle that kind of temperature will vary from 1/2 to 2 hours. A safe with this kind of temperature protection is going to be expensive, even second hand. We were lucky and happened upon a retailer about to close his shop around 2002 or 2003 and he happened to be selling off his floor stock at an extreme discount. We purchased the best he had on the floor. A Browning Platinum Plus Series rated at 1200 F' for 1/2 hour, 72"tall x 40"wide x 28"deep with 3"-5"deep walls,
  13. Orrby, Nitro just posted that GA Arms has over 4 million bullets on back order and they are only receiving them in 100,000 at a time. They may be taking a customers orders as back orders and then filling them when they can. We need to call them and see if they are doing this and if so, then go ahead and place an order so we can get in line. They are out of stock of all .223. He prefers the Hornady but we are not sure if he will be able to find it.
  14. He has the powder and some primers. I think he has about 100 or so primers. There is another component he needs in order to make them that he can't find. Maybe it's the bullet itself that is hard to find because I think he has a ton of the jackets. GA Arms website has been showing out of stock on all .223 for months. I thought maybe he should call and place a back order just so that he could get in line, but judging from your statement above it would still be a very long wait for even a back order. There is a place he gets a catalog from that we have ordered from before, but I forgot their nam
  15. Momof3, we have been looking for about 1000 rounds of .223. IF we are able to actually find some in stock it looks like the pricing will be about $600-700 for 1000 rounds. I haven't asked my husband yet but he may be attending the gun show to try and find some. He went to one about 3 weeks ago and couldn't find any, yet he was one of the first in the door because he was waiting in line an hour early for the show to open! If he can't find any soon then he will start trying to find the components to make them himself, which he does have experience doing. I forget which component it is, but o
  16. Be careful. I had replaced my bathroom globe bulbs with them. One day one of them EXPLODED above my head. I was hit with glass, a powder substance and a gas that came out, then the electricity running through it arced with a small bolt! Since they contain mercury I am sure I was showered with it. The wattage running through the bathroom base while using them was less than the original regular bulbs and I have continued to use the base in the bathroom with regular bulbs with no further problems, so it was the bulb. I discovered that the ones in my bedroom lamps were causing a mild, dull headach
  17. The National Weather Service shows lows in the 20s for Thursday, Friday night and most of next week. NWS forecast for Dallas, GA
  18. I am slapping myself in the forehead now. Ha!
  19. I almost got it. 20+6 = 26 26x21 = 546 546/22 = 24.81 ...
  20. This started happening around February last year and turned into a very early spring, but we also had a very early summer that didn't want to go away! We had summertime temps for almost 3/4s of last year. Also, if we don't get a very hard extended freeze soon, then we are going to continue having the higher than normal amount of insect problems that we have had the past 2-3 years.
  21. Having pain during his sleep could have caused him to grind or bite down too hard, or even been picking at the socket with his tongue. Go ahead and call the dentist to inform them of what happened and if your husband thinks it may have been due to too much pain then ask that a pain reliever (or a stronger one) be called in. TAKE the pain relievers or he may keep losing the clot simply from the jaw pressure that amount of pain causes. If he doesn't like to take what the doctor has prescribed then maybe he will be ok with Advil? IF it is ok for him to take Advil then the maximum PRESCRIBED dose
  22. I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING! Tears are in my eyes! I thought it was odd that no one ducked for the supposedly real bullets.
  23. My inlaws will soon celebrate their 50th. This man has survived the Korean war, 2 open heart surgeries, a stroke, and lives with diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. He did lose a lot of weight (at least 40-50 pounds) after the first surgery but I believe he keeps on going for her. I think it would be great to throw them a party but they live almost at the Canadian border in a tiny town and we live here in West Georgia, so I am not sure how to accomplish throwing them one. I would ask them for a list of names and addresses of who they would like to invite. My mother in law is M
