My Christmas cards to Walter Reed have been returned for 2 years. I guess this explains why.

Last weekend I got the lighted garland and wreaths put up outside. Last night and today I got all the window lights and candlabras put up with the little dining room tree. Tomorrow the big living room tree goes up. I am very, very achy and sore, but I am also very late getting all the decorating done. Tonight after making a big pot of chili, hubby and I watched a movie, then I had some hot cocoa. Yes, I am a little chilly tonight, which is unusual for me. Maybe next weekend we can go out.

Hubby got a Garmin for work travel. It even shows traffic, weather, and airport schedules for the city he is in. I got a Sony ebook...hopefully it will come in handy because I already have 6 full bookcases and with this I can keep the books on a memory card or my computer after reading them. Then we are giving each other small gifts on Christmas that will be under the tree.

The living room and the dining room, where the trees are, have vaulted ceilings with 3/4 trays. I don't think the J hook would come down low enough to the tree!

I use command adhesive hooks too. I have used them on painted sheet rock, windows, my fire place mantle, etc. When done you pull the adhesive away and it doesn't leave a mess. You can then reuse the hooks later with new adhesive strips. I would suggest finding them in a green or clear color so that they will not clash with your fresh greenery, BUT at this time of year those colors are very hard to find in command hooks. Try the Christmas sections in Walmart or Target. I always keep a ton of them on hand. For stair railing I use strips of small width green velcro. Sometimes green floral wire co

If you need to be there at 7am then you should probably be up and leaving early and drive slow. It is supposed to warm up to 40' Saturday but not until lunchtime or so. I bet there will still be some snow around at 7am. Whether or not it will stick to the roads will depend on how much we get and how fast it cools the roads. Sorry but it's kind of an iffy guessing game in this area about whether or not it sticks to the roads. Usually if it starts sleeting first then the roads cool enough for the snow, but then again heavier traffic will solve that problem too. Please stay safe.

If my memory serves me correctly, it seems like there were a bunch of rapes occurring on Kennesaw campus back in the 80s. I was hoping that one day I could return to school (health issues have prevented it) and not being able to legally carry my gun or even my defense spray was a major worry. I was told that while on campus you also can't have a gun locked in your glove box. So what was I supposed to do? Leave my gun home and be unprotected while on campus AND while driving back and forth in traffic? Did this pass?

I think it is supposed to snow Friday NIGHT and we are supposed to be in the 40s Saturday, so I doubt there will be any snow around come parade time. As for the pantyhose, just progressively increase the size as you add another layer. After that, if you choose, put a pair of colored tights over them so that no one can tell you have on so many.
