I am so sorry this night has been rough for you and your drivers. Yes we are almost neighbors then! I am off of East Paulding Drive just before where it intersects with Hwy 381 at Publix. Please be safe driving home.
-
Prayers sent for Shannon and your family. Sending you a hug too. Take care and God bless!

Go to Sports Authority or Dick's Sporting Goods over off of Barrett Pkwy. Even if you don't purchase one from either of them, you can actually try out their floor models and decide what you like.

Now that is actual SNOW! What we have is a tad of snow, then a layer of ice "pellets" and underneath it all is a sheet of slick ice. Such pretty doggies! I am sure they were having a blast in the snow.

Hey good job! I live very near that location and I know how bad our subdivision is right now. I don't want to even imagine being on those roads. We are not moving until probably Saturday or so. Now try to warm up and stay safe today.

I live in New Hope very near Publix. I stepped out onto our back deck and front porch steps for a few seconds. The stuff looks like it is a dusting of snow but after running my hand through it I realized it is starting to freeze together into a solid sheet! It is also still coming down in a kind of snow/ice pellet. So far people are still driving my road in the subdivision but it has a steep hill that leads down to a stop sign in front of our house. When it starts getting really bad iced up, the people who won't slow down on the hill blow through that stop sign and sometimes wind up in the ced

I am wondering if the helicopters have anything to do with the burn that is supposed to be happening at Pickett's Mill Park today?
-
I am wondering too. I am in New Hope off East Paulding and I've been hearing them for about 15 minutes.

It is when precipitation is absorbed into the air and never reaches the ground. It usually happens when the air is very dry.

The Birmingham airport and Isabell Airfield in NE Alabama near Rome, GA are both reporting light snow.

I was only 3, so I have no clue. I am sure I was somewhere here in NW Ga or Paulding. -
For what? The sheriff's department? Ohh... nevermind.

I do believe both Domestications.com and JcPenneys both carry solids in their bedding. Good luck!
-
Oh I forgot that JcPenney also carries them. You can view some that they have at our local store in Hiram or at the Town Center store beside of Dick's Sporting Goods off of Barrett Pkwy. You can also go to Jcpenney.com and see what they have online. If ordering online the items can be delivered to your home or your local store.

www.domestications.com is where I go for sets. Especially when I want the curtains to match too.

I was stuck in Centre Alabama for the blizzard of 93' on a 400 acre farm. The snow was about knee deep and in some areas of the farm the drifts were deeper. Boy it was fun! Until about the 3rd day when the city cut off the water fearing that the mains would break, then the electricity went off. Thank God we had a generator connected to the blower on the fireplace and propane to cook on. I finally got home about the 4th day. You could go for miles and see one after another telephone poles broken off at the T and laying in the road. Around the Cedertown area there were trees in the road that had

It is going to be dicey on Thursday with the weather

Ok, I had to leave today just after 4:30, so I did actually check for our ants in their usual places and they were NOT out. However, the ground is so frozen that even the grass was "crunchy" as in frozen! So I am thinking that even if the temps are just above freezing when the precipitation starts tomorrow afternoon, the stuff will still stick because everything else is so cold. Like LPPT said "the ground is sticky". Our high is only supposed to be about 36/37 according to the National Weather Service. NWS forecast for Dallas, GA -
Can someone provide more information? A list of the screenings available and when, where, cost? Thank you.

Ours are red but bite like fire ants. We use Cook's pest control to keep them under control and out of the house etc. We have had the same technician with them for over 2 years and she says they are fire ants, so I assume they are. I will look outside tomorrow and see if they are doing anything.
