  1. Oh no! Thank God she is healing. Even with all those tubes she looks cute in her pink blankie.
  2. Joined October 2008 and yes, I check a couple of forums on P.com every day but I don't read every topic. I joined when my neighbor and her son were killed in an auto accident. Someone told me there were postings about their deaths on here so I wanted to check them out. I had been invited to join by someone else around 2006.
  3. Ohhh...I am sorry. Yes the military is much harder when they leave compared to what my hubby does. If he can, regular phone calls help. On the bright side, at least he isn't overseas! Keep a picture of the two of you nearby and something with his scent on it around. Don't dwell on them too often though or it can make you sad. This has been my experience with the long trips. Sending you a hug.
  4. Good morning all. TG don't feel bad, just get busy like I do. My hubby has been gone for 2 weeks straight for work. He is hoping he will be home Monday night.
  5. Yes, NO mean NO and date rape IS rape. Been there and done that over 20 years ago. It still makes me ill at the attitude some people take towards date rape. It is a chargable offense and even today some people don't understand that, especially younger victims or those who are in shock over it. It doesn't matter if the victim knows the offender as a friend, current or ex boyfriend or girlfriend, spouse, domestic partner, etc., if the victim said NO even once then it is still rape as long as the victim didn't change their mind. (Ok, getting off my soapbox now.) Thank you for the info Pubby.
  6. Can someone not report in this topic what establishment the rape happened at? I am frequently off somewhere alone but my defense spray and/or gun is always with me. I still would like to know. If you know and don't want to post it, then please PM me.
  7. Hey, I am usually nice in here. Can I have one? Tonight I am doing some house cleaning and getting cabin fever from staying at home too much lately. Hubby has been gone for 2 weeks! Hopefully he will be home Monday night.
  8. Nuh uh. Go to NW Minnesota. A typical blizzard for them is about 2 feet. A bad one could be 4 feet. Once my father in law retired they became snowbirds and live in Texas during the winter now. That is also much better for his heart since he has had 2 open heart surgeries. (He is a Korean war vet and 77.) Snow shoveling plays pure heck on the body.
  9. I totally agree with this. Whether you believe or not in spiritual forces or entities does not mean they do not exist. When you use this "tool" you are inviting a force to communicate with you, thereby inviting it either into the location where you are using the board or into your life. It isn't the board that is necessarily evil or bad, it's the force that you are asking to communicate with you. Even if that force isn't an evil one, it may have an evil force following it. I have never used one and never will
  10. I just came across an ad for a company that specializes in fireplace cleaning and repair when I thought of your topic. They work with wood burning or gas log fireplaces. The ad states they also do leak repair. Here is the link if you would like to check them out. I just noticed on the website they do not give the local phone number but another one, so I will send it to you in a PM. Good luck. Chimney Solutions
  11. It's been on every night for months. I see it when I am flipping through the channels.
  12. Ohhh you rolled it over. Thank you for explaining to me.
  13. How DOES it work with no penalty? We've got a 1099 for the same thing this year but ours took a ton out for state and federal taxes at the time of our withdrawel. Is there a penalty in addition to all that tax we paid? We will be using TurboTax too.
  14. It's the Keebler Elves great-great-great grandfather! He has little blood shot eyes with elf ears and a brain that's on steroids or growth hormones (look at that forehead)!
  15. Well, smoking and caffeine both can make you low on B vitamins which help you to manage stress. Exercise and sex can help you to manage stress as can meditation and yoga. So I would add a good multivitamin, then figure out which of the other options you want to work on first. I wouldn't advise getting rid of smoking and caffeine at the same time though like I did. Holy cow did that do a number on me for a few weeks! I had smoked for 10 years and drank a pot of coffee a day for years before I did that. Whatever you do I wish you the best of luck.
  16. Hmmm...I am wondering if it's the Wellbutrin? I was taking Effexor XR at the time that my eye twitches were at their worst and technically these 2 meds are almost the same classification. For the past year I have been on Cymbalta and they aren't as bad.
  17. There is a small one that is new behind the Best Buy's in Hiram on 278. There is also a larger JcPenney's in Town Center Mall in Kennesaw. I think there may be one in the mall in Douglasville.
  18. One of my grandfather's passed 6 months before I was born, the other passed in 1999 in the very same month that I met my husband. Both my grandmothers passed away when I was 18. My husband has lost all of his grandparents too. So we don't have any elders really. I do wish I had known then what I know now, I might have spent more time with the 3 I knew when they were alive.
  19. Umm I have seen someone have a wabbit tattoo similiar to that one. It was a huge hit at parties LOL.
  20. If you quit caffeine do it slowly or you will have withdrawels. I had a headache and some shakiness for weeks. I was ALSO trying to quit smoking at the same time, so I was a real witch for 6 weeks! At that time I got the caffeine down to 2 cups a day and did quit smoking.
  21. Mine was not because of caffeine because I had just about quit drinking caffeine many years ago. I have a coke or sweet tea 1-2 times a week, or maybe some chocolate, but that's it. From the time I was 18-21 I drank a pot of regular coffee a day between 6am-3pm. My urologist made me cut down to 2 cups a day at age 22. Then several years ago I quit because of my fibromyalgia and insomnia and I LOVE coffee, so yeah I hated quitting it. But my eye twitch wasn't from caffeine. It has been a long time since it has done it though.
  22. My eyes do the twitching too. It just started a few years ago for no apparent reason. It is always one eye or the other but never both at the same time. It will occur off/on for a day or two then stop. I could never get use to it either. Weird.
  23. Will Myrtle Beach be too cool for swimming in April? I want to go for my birthday but not sure about the temps. If not then maybe Gulf Shores would be 2nd choice.
  24. The Issey Miyake is on Ulta.com but there are 2 different looking bottles so I am not sure which one you were referring to. Here is the Giorgio Armani Aqua Di Gio Here is the Burberry Fragrance for Men available at JcPenney. I think this is the Michael Kors Cologne that was spoken of. Here is the Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene Here is the Perry Ellis for Men
  25. I would recommend a trip to ULTA cosmetics off Barrett Pkwy (in the Target shopping center) for both men and women's fragrances. They have a TON of selections and most have "tester" bottles available so that you can try before you buy. Some are less expensive and some are more expensive, it just depends on the brand. If you still haven't found something you like then go hit the department stores at the mall, but most of them will be higher priced. Personally I don't care what the price range is as long as it "smells like me", you know a scent that matches who you are as a person? Whatever
