It was named for the Watson Family that the land was purchased from. This was part of the deal for them to sell the land to the county.

I didn't say I would believe everything they said. I would have a chance to ask them all about the things that they were accused of doing. You can just about tell if they are lying if you talk to them long enough. You know some people can't lie with a straight face, or they can't look you in the eye, when they do. Yes I know some people can look you straight in the eye and lie to you. Do you believe all this that is being written on here? I sure don't.

You know I bet I could call any one of these candidates, and they would come to my house and sit down with me and talk. But you know what, they are not in my district, so I think I will bother them. I bet they would sit down and talk to anybody in their district.

You are not by yourself, I don't know why every election we have he has to pick one to do this. Like you said I guess he don't have anything better to do. You would think he would run himself??????????????????????

Venture in Elementary could be cut. The two schools that have 300 and 400 students could be closed,and save money by not having to pay to have them open. Also, it would save on personnel too. Cut some of the people at the top that h have these high salaries, if nothing else cut their pay. Let PTA give their thousands to help run the school, instead of buying things the principal would like to have. We could have fundraiser money to pay for things the schools need instead of prizes for teachers and students, meals for teachers etc. Just my thought.

A lot of parents have gone to jail, because they had a party like this????? Drinking age is 21.

I also vote for the person, not the party.

Sorry did not mean that for you. It was for the three that seem to hate this county. I think it is pretty wonderful. I have been here a long time, and I have seen a lot of people move here.

Good post, I have never had a problem communicating with the school board and supertendent. I can contact them and I will get a reply with two days. I think they are great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a school teacher whose name was Sudie Carter. Hiram Sudie was named for her. She taught 5th grade at the old Hiram School, that went from first grade to the 12th grade.

Ruth, Ned and Cindy, you are in my prayers, may the good Lord wrap his arms around you and confort you. I Did not know Timothy, but I am sure he was a fine young man.

But we did not have SIX weeks off during the school year. Why do we need all these days off? I don't think so. They have to accomodate everybodys vacation time, back then everybody planned their vacation around the school calendar. I asked to see the votes, but did I get to see them, no. I don't believe the parents and students voted for this one.
