  2. Big Frog on Dallas Hwy. across from the Avenues in the Kroger shopping center will do single shirts or multiple. Super nice people.
  3. Can you add back the second line for post descriptions? Those help a lot in determining if I want to click on a post.

  5. Looking at the plan drawings for Dollar Tree (which also show an Aldi store) there does not seem to be a place for the Grogan store. I'd imagine it would take quite a bit of money to put that store back in shape for use. But, I agree it would be nice to keep it and incorporate it into the plans.
  6. I like Kroger but Aldi has so many low prices and many good items. I certainly don't mind bagging my own groceries or not having a fancy store in exchange for the dollar savings. In fact, Aldi is such a size that I don't feel tired after shopping the store. Kroger will have an edge with their produce, deli, large selection of household products, and gas station. Sometimes Aldi's produce is hit or miss and that is about my only complaint with them. I hear Aldi pays $9-10 per hour to cashiers. They typically only have about 5 staff people on duty and the store hours are limited (9 a.m. to
  7. Have not looked at Aldi corporate site. In a print box, it's showing PROJECT ADDRESS for DOLLAR TREE as: 2885 DALLAS AKWORTH (sic) ROAD, 30067. The map in the drawing shows the corner of GEORGIA HWY. 381 AND CEDARCREST ROADS and includes a drawing of Aldi.
  8. Sorry for your loss! FWIW: We have a personal articles policy on musical equipment and laptops that my kids own and take out of the house. We pay about $40/year for about $6000 worth of equipment. It is covered in full for damage, loss, or theft, no deductible. This is through our regular homeowner's insurance provider.
  9. http://www.ldiline.com/home.cfm?id=181001 Scroll down and click on COVER then click on the PDF for detailed drawings. Also, search through older listings and you'll see plans for the old Kmart (Hobby Lobby) and the lots in front (medical related).
  10. After a little more online investigation, I'm confident that a Dollar Tree will be built on that land and fairly sure an Aldi will be built on that corner in the near future.
  11. The new 3 tenant building next to the old gas station property may be home to an eye/vision store and a dentist.
  12. I haven't been out that way in a while and wondered if an Aldi and/or Dollar tree have been built or are in the process of being built at the corner of Cedarcrest & Hwy. 381 (diagonal from Kroger) where the old Grogan's Grocery sits. Anyone know?
  13. We had lunch there today and really enjoyed it. We were 3 adults and one child. Our order consisted of a Reuben sandwich with fries, Diner Dip (French dip sandwich) with fries, kid's corndog with fries, and a veggie plate (4 choices out of probably 12 items). Chose zuchinni casserole, green beans, mashed sweet potatoes, black-eyed peas and a sweet corn muffin. Everyone had sweet tea that was really good, too. It was all delicious. The place was packed at 12:30 but service was good. It wasn't fast but it wasn't too slow either, they were just busy. Lunch prices are probably better than di

  15. Do you know anyone who works for an airline? Most employees get a certain number of passes per year that can be shared with family or friends. It would mean flying standby, not knowing if you'll get on until all paying customers are boarded. Employees can check for flights with lots of open seats though to increas your chances of getting on. It's not always completely free but would be a very small amount compared to a regular ticket.
  16. What is your major? Have you graduated? Do you have work experience?
  17. We'll be there, then, with cash in hand for homemade ice cream!
  18. Where? When? Why? We've never been and have no idea what it's all about. Please provide details, we may want to go. Thanks.
  19. Good idea! My son's high school band program says they are going to arrange for professional pictures this school year. Finally!! We've always wanted good ones in the marching uniform and another in the concert tux with each instrument he plays. Naturally, it will be a fund raiser. In the past they only offered pictures to seniors. (!?!) If it isn't worked out soon I will be looking for a private studio.
  20. Look for summer clearance sales on pool floats (the kind you lay on). Blow them up and put one under each guy's sleeping bag. My son did this for camping outdoors in a tent this summer and he said it was great. They don't take up much room and are cheap.
  21. Some of those models are going to lose vision in one eye. Got any links for trendy men's styles?
