very nice! and its never too early for halloween!

I think the real underlying issue likely stems from the fact that this Islamic woman was not portrayed as being forced to dress this way. She was happy with her religion and the multiple wives and the clothing. Realistically, some of the women are actually forced to adhere to these rules, but on the other hand some are not forced, they embrace it. In a post 9/11 America it is so much easier to demonize these middle eastern religions and label them all as an object to hate rather than to think of them as human beings. I see nothing wrong with the letter that was in the article. What's wrong wit

i could never trust a tv doctor for accurate information. he gets paid to sell fear. i can barely stomach a commercial for his show, having to watch it would be my personal hell. -
What would you do? Friend & job opportunity
angiecochran replied to onekidmom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
don't run away. walk away with your head held high! you were a great friend to them. you did what you felt was right, and you are a better person for it! you shouldn't be the one running away. -
thanks, subby! (and by the way, congrats on your new gig!) it really sucks to see all these peeps down in the dumps, i miss the better days, things weren't perfect, but they weren't this bad either. its so hard to find enjoyment these days, and you certainly cant do it for free, even spending time with friends and family comes at the price of your not currently making the money that you need to pay the bills. i guess if this is to become survival of the fittest we should all start our stretches and exercises now.

all the 'no jobs' threads got me thinking
angiecochran replied to angiecochran's topic in RECENT TOPICS
for most companies, this may be true, however, our biggest hiring concern is the lack of experience our applicants have. we would prefer someone with more experience and would pay them for that experience, you wont get rich working for us, but you also wont be paid like an inexperienced 19 yr old kid. in my particular line of work, experience and knowledge is everything, but its a very fine line we walk in the pay scale, people ask for extremely high wages because they dont actually know what the job is. our work load does not constitute $20/hr. a little research would fix that problem. believ -

that's a good saying, the word job used to imply work. only in my own little world now. -
I keep seeing all the complaints about no jobs being available, and i know that there are not many companies hiring right now, but perhaps a little advice from some people who actually look at applications or do the hiring could be helpful. so if anyone has actual experience in the hiring process, feel free to add your own advice. this is just some of the advice i have come up with from screening applications. 1. location the first thing i look at is an applicants location. if i am looking to start a new part time employee's pay at $8/hr do i really think they are going to drive 60 miles/

this turned out good, but i definitely need to tweek the recipe a bit. i went lite on the salt because of the bbq sauce, but it needed some salt, and maybe a bit more garlic flavor. but it was good.

i simply boiled potatoes, sauteed some chicken and made a base for my casserole with chicken broth, and whisked in some milk, bbq sauce, flour, onions, parsley, garlic salt, pepper, and literally an almost invisible amount of nutmeg. it smelled so good i think i could have eaten it as soup, lol. then i mixed it all together with 1/4 cup cheddar and 3/4 cup mozzarella and crushed saltines on top. i hope the hubbin will enjoy this. its all his favorite foods lol.

sounds like good dinners everywhere. i have decided to try to balance cheesy and bbq. i will have to let yall know how this experiment works out.

i have decided on a chicken and potato casserole. what i cant decide on is if it should be cheesy or bbq. such tough decisions everyday. so whats everyone else having?

i cut barrys hair, but he used to go to the closest place that cut hair in record time. he hates haircuts and hates waiting for them and through them even more. weird isnt it? -
the general public (meaning anyone who was not personally involved in the legal case) has been vested in this matter from the very beginning. the whole time they were searching for the little girl everyone was holding their breath, hoping and praying for a safe return while knowing the odds were against her. it was covered by the media in such a way that you couldnt help to hear about it and you couldnt help but to worry for her, feel sorry for her family, and finally to mourn her. i cant bring myself to argue that the jury got it wrong. their job is to look at the facts presented. they have t
