  1. shoot, i really didnt want to comment in these warped threads, but i just cant resist, so here's the deal. kids drink underage. i did it. i had good responsible parents, and i still did it. because i wanted to. but i was smart enough not to go out joy riding drunk off my ass. the thing is, no matter how good or bad the parenting, the kids are quite likely to drink before its legal. and some kids do stupid things. like driving drunk. its not necessarily a reflection of parenting. if you are old enough to be interested in drinking or even to watch television you know that drinking and driving is

  10. just wanted to say thanks, now im thinking about eye boogers in my milk. i may never drink it again. i must mourn my days of the milkstache
  11. hubbin is a bit sloppy when he pours milk, so the milk ends up all over he threaded neck of the jug, then without wiping it off he puts the cap back on so when i open the milk, there is crusty chunks of dried milk falling off of it. it is so freakin gross i will actually pour out a glass of milk if a crusty drops in it, i have to remember to wipe it clean before i use it. amazingly, he is completely unphased by this. i will never understand
  12. some alternators have the voltage regulator built in, the easiest way to tell is to look at the backside of it, there would be a module on it with an electrical plug. sometimes it can be more difficult to distinguish between alternator and voltage regulator failure, but if the failure is sporadic it is likely the regulator.
  13. we bought a small bag of oil dry, it wont melt the ice, but it will give a little more traction on it.
  14. my husband asked his friend about this (who works for direct tv) and he was told not to do it, it would very likely damage the dish, and a replacement would probably not be free.
  15. we have decided to use only the heat pump until it hits and we lose power, that way we will be sure to have enough firewood.
  16. i dont mind if he does.... just think, if all the guys stopped paying the porn company out in LA or whatever and just went to strip clubs, the local economy might bounce back a bit quicker lol. but seriously, i dont care if he goes, i went to one (with nekked guys) for my bachelorette party and it didnt bother him.
  17. yep, just went to crank the car and its chilly and wet, just not a good combo without snow.
  18. have you tried cheese-ing it? my husband doesnt like most veggies, but if i put it in a casserole with cheese he cant get enough, try a low fat or diet friendly cheese. i dont really use a specific recipe, but always canned carrots (drained and rinsed), because they cook faster, and use cream of broccoli, or potato or chicken. i just mix it all up with some garlic and onion powder, salt and pepper and bake until the cheese is melted, also some ritz crackers crunched up on top could be enticing, but over time use a little less cheese then a little less again, until it has very little, maybe he
  19. you are right, in NY there is no police escort and no pulling over, you fend for yourself.
  20. i figured it out while i was looking for clean dishes under the sink instead of in the dishwasher........... im distracted.
  21. i would hope so..... otherwise, our problems are bigger than i first imagined. it must be moving really fast though, it was only raining about 10 minutes before i posted..... at least, i thought it was 10 minutes.
  22. just thought i would give ya'll a heads up, its raining in rockmart, should be hitting paulding in a few minutes, its cold and wet, so be careful if you have to leave the house tonite!

  25. i found out that if you get an "introductory price" on cable, phone, etc. they will keep giving it to you for that price or less when you call to change your plan. saves a lot of money, if they can afford to give you a lower price for a year, they can probably afford it for another.
