Yep, been smoking boston butts all day. We have had people trying to buy bar b que since 10:00am but it was not done Gonna be some good food for a great cause the numbers for August fed 803 people assistted 325 families and gave out 15,700+ pounds of food every penny raised goes for a good cause, people in need that can't meet their need themselves. There is no shame in getting down on your luck, so if you need help come and see us, if you can help come on out and help. Thanks Charlie

I have 4 boys, the oldest is 10 and they are already that way, the 9 year old can't get enough to eat, we have even found teeth marks in the plastic fruit. The baby is a girl and eats very little.

Our young folks have come up with the idea to do a car wash the same time for $5.00 min. donation. So plan on coming out getting some good food, a chance at a shotgun, winning a turkey shoot and getting your car washed. The money from the car wash and bar b que go to the church, money from the gun raffle and turkey shoot go to the food pantyr. Hope to see you there.

Rules? good question, I had not thought about posting them. I like the ballon idea, I was thinking egg but a small balloon is what it will be. First round will be at 30 feet, hit the balloon and you move to the next round Second round will be at 45 feet, hit the balloon and you move to the next round Third round will be at 60 feet and so on. Each round the distance will increase by 15 feet You get one shot in each round, everyone uses the same air rifle and you shoot free handed from a standing position I am also considering a kids shoot for $10 a person ages 6 - 12 Troph

If you don't want to shoot the turkey you can come and shoot the bull, make some friends eat some good food, maybe win a shot gun or other prizes, we may have a bouncy for the kids or who knows what else we may come up with Mark your calendar, let me know if you plan to show up so we can plan on the amount of food we need

We are having our 2nd annual Crusade to Stomp Out Hunger. We will have different singers and speakers every night. All the money raised will go to buy food for the hungry and to raise awareness of an increasing problem. So come out and support you local food pantry and have a good time. There will be crafts for sale and things to raffle off. Last month we assistted 231 families, fed 701 people and gave out 12,871 pounds of food. The need is great and this goes to supply the need. I would try to reserve the party room at the nursing home or senior citzens building and have it catered

Me and Charlies Angels just counted everything raised from this event and thanks to the donations from vendors to those that gave donations for the gift bags we you raised $700.00 If you could only image how many people that will feed you would be as blown away as I am Thank You to everyone who participated to make this happen. I talked to Charlies Angels a little while ago and she said it is busy and everyone is having a ball. Go figure, all those shopping opprotunities in one place and a bunch of ladies Good job baby, and all the money raised goes to buy food for the needy

We are starting our vacation bible school Monday. We have a banner to place at the road but we do not have any road frontage to speak of, the church is kinda out of sight. Can we place a sign at the back of the right of way for the next week. The people who owns the property with the road frontage have never said anything about us putting up signs before but we always had them down the same day, I am going to talk to them but I was wandering the counties take on it. Anyone have any info as to the county objecting, I want to put them up tommorrow but don't want them taken down By the wa

Ok I am looking at August 21st to have the shoot, probably start registration 9:00am that morning and start the shoot at 10:00. I am thinking about bringing a grill and selling hot dogs and hamburgers and make a day of it. We are going to have plaques for the top three shooters and raffle the shot gun Any other ideas are welcome, I will try to have all the details worked out in the next few days and begin advertising it. I am going to put together a skeet shoot to raise money for the Lighthouse Food Pantry. Most fund raisers tend to be geared towards the ladies and I thought this would be a unique fund raiser and would be fun for men and women. The date would be mid August, location is to be determined The shooter that shoots the best of 25 shots would win a 12 ga. shotgun $25 per gun. What do you think, this is in the preleminary stages I just wanted some in put and ideas of how many people would be interested
