  1. Yup...people forget common courtesy, merging traffic should be a joint effort between both lanes. Sure, the lane merging must legally yield other vehicles but traffic in the through lane should make the process easier.
  2. Congested intersection like you mention are very hard to proactively police. Most of the violations that cause accidents in intersection can't be prevented. Also, trying to stop or catch violators in an intersection that is backed up with heavy traffic in all 4 directions is extremely dangerous. You take off after someone you are probably more likely to cause an accident than you are to prevent one.
  3. Because it gives an unnatural advantage just as any hormone or steroid does. It introduces more red blood cells to carry more oxygen than the body is naturally capable of which minimizes muscle fatigue and increases stamina.
  4. Nor does it mean that picture was not taken of a moving car with its blinker on preparing to enter a left turn lane that begins in the area the picture was taken from. Nothing says the brown car was stopped.
  5. Also, it is not just steroids or other substances as much as it was blood doping. The easy way is using EPO which stimulates the growth of red blood cells but can be detectable. The more sophisticated and expensive method which is alleged that Armstrong used was a transfusion which can go undetected by current tests. That means blood is taken from the body and the red blood cells are separated and stored. The body is given time to naturally replace the lost blood and the stored red blood cells are injected back into the system just before competition giving an the body the ability to carry
  6. Several of those testifying have also had titles stripped and been banned themselves.
  7. I read the report....the amount of evidence against him is huge. They have loads of former team memebers who are not just pointing the finger, they admit to cheating with him and gave the details as to how they got away with it for so long. No chance he was clean.
  8. My account was compromised using my debit card over the summer and I had my money back by the end of the day. Pretty good 'protection' if you ask me.
  9. Man....never realized so many people live on a pedestal and think they have a right not to be bothered with the world..
  10. It is probably the most popular fiction book of all time!
  11. Sell 'em. Gives them less of a reason to snap off my car antenna.
  12. Lots of 'good kids' do things that others would never suspect them of behind closed doors. Just because a child victim of sexual assault reports a crime when they are older does not mean it is not legit.
  13. Should have already been voted on but our leaders were dragging their feet.
  14. Good luck classifying him as a boarder. He resided there for a year paying monthly rent, the courts will view him as a tenant-at-will. Even as a boarder he is legally entitled to a vacate notice where the time frame equals his rent payment schedule. For example, a resident of a day to day hotel has less protection than one who pays by the month.
  15. If you reset the router it probably reset the password to the default. Just Google the default password for the make/model of your router, then log in and change it back.
  16. He does not need to pay up front, an attorney will take a lock solid case up front because they get a percent of the damages and their fees paid by the defendant.
  17. Tread lightly....just because they rent a room does not automatically classify them as a boarder. Since this guy has been in the residence a year it makes him more of a tenant since it is long term, a boarder is normally short term as by the day or week. You opened your home and collected rent....you have created a landlord-tenant situation. Give him notice, if he does not willingly leave file with the courts. You will gets lots of advice on here and much of it will be wrong. If you go about it the wrong way he could be awarded damages..
  18. I must say I have never seen a MDT that works that way and I have used several different versions daily for many years including currently one of the newest systems on the market. Any submission of a tag or VIN goes to the specified state and through the NCIC stolen file.
  19. Say what you want about Ryan but he has changed the direction of the team over the last 4+ seasons. As a rookie he took a team with no clear direction or winning history that was still in turmoil from the Vick fiasco and turned them into a winner who competes every week. No playoff win yet but it will come with time, the hurdle of actually getting there is something to be proud of.
  20. ....and the exact same scenario would play out if the SS fielded a ball near the pitchers mound or even over at 2nd base. He could also stand there and do nothing to get the out. All that is required is the popup be playable by an infielder with a force at 3rd. There is no magic line and an outfielder can actually make the play with IFR being called if an infielder could have played it. The following phrase specifically addresses those short popups in the outfield and it is obvious the infielder playing the ball is not in any way 'abandoning his position' which would invalidate the rule.
  21. I understand that, they can specify any state that they want. However, there is no blanket 'check for all 50 states for registration at one time' function. They must be checked individually for possible matches and on a simple stolen vehicle VIN check that does not happen. The officers only concern and the scope of the form they are completing for the tag office is that the VIN was checked through the NCIC stolen vehicle file.
  22. As I said earlier, GCIC will only check GA for matching registration information and NCIC will check nationwide for stolen info. GCIC will not check all 50 states for registration info and NCIC does not carry that information.
  23. There is no way to determine that from a simple VIN check, NCIC is the only nationwide database and it only checks stolen files not registration. To check individually would mean a separate request to each state looking for a potential match which would not occur for a simple stolen vehicle check. Your only concern should be if the trailer is stolen, registration really does not matter.
  24. I guess we will disagree on the interpretation. I believe many are misconstruing the 'ordinary effort' clause. A SS running 40ft back of his position to field a pop up is no different than one running 40ft towards home plate to make the play. If he can camp under the ball then it was easily playable by his position, the very moment he demonstrated that is when the ump enacted the rule. The fact he didn't catch it does not matter, similar calls have been made and the ball dropped by the pitchers mound which also made the call no less valid. I believe 'ordinary effort' means they can make
