Apparently it goes on all the time. I was told you should have contractors sign a lien waiver. She hired a contractor. SHe paid him everything. He did not pay lumber company. Lumber company put a lien on her house.

They deliveried the wood I assume that is how they know. The lien says the amount of $1500 is owed. She paid him way $$$$ more than that for the whole job. Small claims would work, but I was hoping for him to pay so she doesnt have to deal with that. I feel awful. So annoying that someone you know would do this.

She will, but any thing else to maybe make him maybe fix this? I hate that she has to go through all of this.

My MIL had a huge landscaping job. I asked for referrals off my FB page for someone who does landscaping. This guy I went to high school ended up get the job. He also put up a fence for her. She paid him a ton of money for the completed job. Well, She got a letter from lumber company saying they put a lien on her house because he did not pay his bills. WTH I can not believe people can do this. I now hear it goes on all the time. I feel so awful bc this was someone I knew. I told her to call lumber company and send him a certified letter. Does anyone know what she should do?

So my daughters bday party is planned for the park tomorrow at noon. Please say a prayer that the rain stops way before then In the event there is no way I can go to the park. They party is at our house. What last minute ideas could I do for an indoor party. I need to be prepared to wake up and rushing to buy whatever I need. Craft ideas?
