Fox is incredibly annoying to me - I just cannot deal with all that talking over each other and harangue. Also, they are incredibly sensationalistic, and Sex Sells in a big way at Fox. Rupert saw a market that wasn't being served and jumped into it. People so tired of being only given one perspective (liberal) were so thrilled that they've made it #1. Like I s

Who cares how many there are? If pcom were the official news organ for the county (a position held by the erstwhile Dallas New Era), I could see wanting only one new place to collate news, but even then I could see people wanting a different news organ. As an evangelical Christian, I can say with certainty that y'all are correct. A crying shame, but there it is. I would say, though, not to assume such a person is actually a Christian.

I just saw that. Shocking that anyone survived. RE: Jon Stewart - I didn't see the movie he directed, but I loved the subject. I shall add that to my "to watch" queue. Maybe he'll do more stuff like that.

And a funny take from a chick at the New Yorker. Also, if hone was good enough for George Plimpton, it's good enough for me. http://www.newyorker.com/books/page-turner/dont-try-to-hone-in-on-a-copy-editor

HA! Apparently it is a North American thing. Home in vs. hone inHome in means to direct on a target. The phrasal verb derives from the 19th-century use of homing pigeons, but it resurged in the 20th century to refer to missiles that home in on their targets. It’s also commonly used metaphorically, where to home in on something is to focus on and make progress toward it. Hone in began as an alteration of home in, and many people regard it as an error. It is a very common, though, especially in the U.S. and Canada—so common that many dictionaries now list it—and there are arguments in
