  1. I'm a firm believer that there are ALWAYS signs/clues. And if I had to bet, I'd bet they were actually present when they were dating, but a) people see what they want to see, and 2) women always think men will change (and men think women never will). No, normal people don't do crap like this. Read "The Gift of Fear" by Gavin deBecker. It'll open your eyes, in a very good way. And yes, he is a pathetic coward.

    Chip keys? At CVS Pharmacy?
  3. Oh, that was beautifully said. Wow. Very insightful. To you and to the OP, I am so terribly sorry for your respective losses. Believe me when I say I know grief...there was a time when grief was my constant oppressive, overbearing companion. But my grief was not over the death of a child (it was betrayal grief). I truly believe that grief over the death of a child is the most profound and soul-shattering grief a person can suffer on this earth. I know there are days on end when you just breathed in and out only because it was involuntary, and that you wanted to scream and cry and thr
  4. Well, if he had only killed her and no kids were involved, I'd say well, that's sad and horrible, but she's an adult and she did pick him. But when those tiny children are involved, I'm sorry - NO MERCY. EVIL.
  5. Pure. Frickin'. Evil. Article I read said the boys had started to talk about what happened the night their mother disappeared, and said Mom and Dad got out of the car, but only Dad got back in, and Mom was in the trunk. I'm sure he saw his little charade was coming to an end. And this way he could cause the maternal grandparents even more pain and suffering. RIH, rat bastard.
  6. I've gotten the idea over time that that wasn't the only issue, but I don't live there. So maybe the UPS dude in New Hope will chime back in with some new information.
  7. You talking about the Riverwood v. Pearson lawsuit or the Pearson v. Delta CU lawsuit?
  8. Ditto. Of course, I'd have just walked out the door in the middle of the day and said I'm outtie for awhile, don't come looking for me. But some folks have more trouble with conflict than I do.
  9. Yeah, didn't the guy text her back and say don't come I'm in a relationship and she texted back oh?
  10. I don't know whether to cry or throw up. I imagine you don't, either. x 1,000,000...
  11. I just be shamin' the debil and tellin' the truth.
  12. HOLY CRAP (I say again)...I just read the article...a $75.4 MILLION judgment in favor of Pearson? Ye gods!!! The credit union is appealing, so this isn't finished yet. The summary judgment against the Riverwood folks is truly appalling. Man. So not good.
  13. I remember when you did that. Ain't NOTHIN' warmer than a wood-burning insert. :envyingyourheater:
  14. Holy crap. I think it means it ain't good for Riverwood folks. Man, I hate that. I swear, some (most?) of these new-money types are so utterly tacky and garish. I mean, honestly...you'd think a PIG would have better taste than some of these folks!
  15. I second the endorsement. Mark has as good a grasp about real estate as anyone I've ever met in the industry.
  16. That is one big ol' dog head! Happy, happy for the baby! PS - The groundhog didn't see his shadow in 1993, either. Blizzard hit March 12. Just sayin'...
  17. The blizzard of 1993 happened on March 12-13. Just sayin'. And Gen. Beau. Lee was wrong that year in his prediction.
  18. To OP - Brookstone is in West Cobb.
  19. How precious. I can't even IMAGINE the tedium and precision necessary to do major surgery on a tiny baby. God bless those surgeons.
  20. I love the martial arts thing, but I think a shorter self-defense class would be great. I should think it would get a lot of participation - say 1/2 day on Saturday morning or Tues and Thurs evenings? Is there anything like this?
  21. Housing prices will probably be higher in N. Paulding, but the home values haven't dropped here nearly as much, either. One major factor which may influence your decision - where will you and/or husband be working? If you're working downtown Atlanta or near the airport, S. Paulding would be better. If you're working in Cobb or around the top-end perimeter area, N. Paulding would be better. Traffic is a bear here, so that will definitely play into your decision. True. My neighborhood doesn't have a mandatory HOA, but most of them in the NE part of the county do. SW is definite
