  1. I read a summary of that the other day. Ye gods. This the greatest country in the world, but we have gotten several things spectacularly wrong since the founding. This is one.
  2. Sonar soundings on the tunnel construction work.
  3. HAHAHAHAHAA That right there was funny, low.
  4. Why would anybody go to Villa Rica, much less build an expensive tunnel to there? (Some might say the same about Yorkville, but I like Yorkville myself. ) I think they should be pouring their tunnel resources into the N. Paulding tunnels. Us'ns up here don't get enough attention.
  5. Maybe guys see things differently, but as a woman who usually travels alone, no way would I stop. Sorry.
  6. Yeppers...mid-March. The almanacs/old timers say that we're due for a snow. "Thunder in January means snow in February." We shall see.
  7. Well, I wouldn't feel safe stopping most of the time if I were alone. I was on I-81 awhile back and saw a guy trying to flag down cars. I didn't slow down, but did call TN State Patrol and tell them about the guy. Sorry, but there's just too many creeps out there for me to take a risk. I wouldn't call 911, however, about a car that was just pulled to the side of the road. If it had been there for like 13 days, yeah, I might think about it (or at least the non-emergency number).
  8. You're good. Nearly as good as that Blondie girl.
  9. TRUE STORY, this. I loathe Hartsfield. Even O'Hare wasn't as bad. I'd also park in one of the parking lots near the airport that have security (one of the park and ride places...there are scads of them). Their shuttle drops you off right at the terminal door. Much more convenient than parking in the airport parking lots, IMHO.
  10. You know, I thought I smelled sulfur and saw darkness when I took 4yo nephew to the Truck Day last spring. Now I know why. (Think they'd interview me if I called one of the TV stations and sounded like a total redneck and said I thought the devil lived there? )
  11. I first read that as "Bisek's faith" being the name of third religion, and I'm thinkin'...whoa, there...that's a new one on me!
  12. Not defending his cheating behavior, but the leaving the first wife when she was ill has been debunked. His daughters (by that first wife) have denied it, and I believe she has denied it. She didn't have cancer, either; whatever she had was benign. Edited to add - wait a minute...leaving her while she was ill, perhaps. Serving divorce papers on her while she was ill, no. I'm pretty sure she also wanted the divorce. Again, not defending his behavior.
  13. Meh...whatever. Homey ain't good with titles.
  14. Good idea about flying American. I've had good experiences with them. Also thumbs-up on the non-stop flight since you're nervous.
  15. Very interesting take on this...I'm guessing you're right. I thought Jackson was the intake center.
  16. Emphasis on the word "creature". See here for the latest with the teenage train wreck: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2088496/Courtney-Stodden-puts-animal-magnetism-work-slips-revealing-white-dress-PETA.html Sorry about the hijack. I find this laundry thing very interesting...I had never thought about doing something like this, but I think I would like it MUCH better than store-bought detergents. Y'all have some great ideas...I'm going to try it. Woo hoo!
  17. I'm not sorry about this, but neither can I rejoice. An awful, sad, sick situation all the way around.
  18. You never even called me by my name.
  19. Their flights out of Atlanta are pretty limited. But we flew them to Denver and were surprised and pleased. Bless your heart. The time I stopped in Houston SW, I think they gave us the option of getting off and walking around in the gate area. However, that was before 9/11...not sure what the procedure would be now. I'd say call their 800#...they're very friendly, and I'm guessing they could answer the question. Prayers for you today.
  20. LOVE Southwest. Friendly, clean and on-time. General seating, though, last I heard. Re: stop in Houston...can't answer that one. But I have driven to Birmingham to fly Southwest. Frontier is my new favorite airline.
