    Well...

Typically, junk yards are all 'connected' and when you contact one, they scour their network for what you are looking for. Really, they do. pubby
  3. I'm pubby and I'm here to say that on the front page ... the second topic ... usually always the second topic ... has a title called. Mast, click for contact information : http://www.paulding.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=70039 Click on it and you will even see the number for my 'computer'. pubby
  4. Monkey Doodle: Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly. I'm glad that you've made amends with your customers whom I believe were more concerned about you than about the money they had spent with you. As far as Pcom ... well what ever you feel is fair. Sure folks came on expressing their concern that their product was not being delivered within their expectations but they knew nothing of your illness. This is the first time I've been in this topic and it was only because someone reported the post. I will admit that ultimately things that are posted here do get attention and th
  5. It is in the Tonk. the whale penis did the trick for me ... there is no limit on who can go to the Battles provided you meander there by turning things on ... but the tonk ... you've got to be a premium member. pubby PS: It wasn't closed. smoochie ... it just got moved and you thought the little button was saying closed... wrong. go to the tonk
  6. So, do you replace the seal for the insulation or do you actually replace the whole window? pubby
  7. It was all those PCOMFUN numbers we were calling pubby
  8. this is kind-of on the subject... I wonder it they make good fishing bait? pubby
  9. Boss Hoggs turn of phrase suggests you can nominate someone for a bullet by clicking on the report this post button. It then goes on to say: " Don't do it maliciously and don't cry wolf or you may get shot yourself ... the popo can get trigger happy when they're over-worked."' Read between the lines with me. You hit the report this post button because someone has done something or said something that is probably across the line. You should say what you find objectionable ... why they deserve the recognition of getting a bullet ... if you will If you make these recommenda
  10. If there were that much demand for space, Griffin White's development at Seaboard Ave./Old Villa Rica highway would be full and expanding. It still has a few vacancies from recollection. Surepip: I too would have gone up the extra .1 mills ... that would be about $80 on a $200,000 home ... and done it right. Had the general assembly maintained the funding for homestead exemptions as in years past, there would be no real additional local taxes. . Indeed, had those funds been allocated as they had in years past, then the millage rate for M and O would not have been increased and
  11. I went further in search of a story and apparently there were something like eight perpetrators and while robbery is one motive, it is unclear whether that was the only motive. Something like six or seven men are in jail presently. Here is a link to a story on the issue: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=8076731&page=1 This is an exceedingly sad thing and the level of organization and precision ... which is what prompts I assume the local authorities to call it a 'military operation' ... speaks to something more than just robbery as the motive. pubby
  12. I just got back from the courthouse and there are some folks who are saying no to a tax increase. When I think that each of the county's employees gave up, probably on average close to a $1,000 in paid holiday pay this year ... I find the couple of hundred dollars in additional taxes to balance the county's budget that I'll pay - yes my assessment actually went up so I'll be paying more - a fair contribution to the community. Oh well, since labor day is now an unpaid holiday for county workers, I'd almost suggest a pot luck at one of the county parks would be a great way to show ou
  13. Your reading comprehension is pretty weak, eh? I'm going to have to change your no-name, I see. pubby
  14. Nemie is not charged and according to the SO there is no plan or expectation to charge her. She was not at the shop and frankly, if you know Nemie, you know that her eyesight is so bad she can't drive or hardly even work on a computer. I don't know if she sees well enough to be able to tell the difference. Steve, of course, is about like me... as a carpenter and building contractor, he wouldn't know the difference between a legal knockoff, the real deal and a counterfeit unless it was pointed out to him. To me those circumstances makes them the perfect victim of the person who sold

    Drowning

I would guess that less than 15 percent die because they're 'drunk' Most are just not as strong a swimmer as they think ... or they were on a boat that wrecks or capsizes and they were not wearing their life vest and were either too far from shore ... which doesn't have to be very far at all if you can't swim. Most drownings are in private pools where the person is just found drowned. In some cases they slipped, hit their head and fell in. In others, cramps or even fainting will cause drowning. In my understanding, though, if you were to total up all the cases of drowning t
  16. They are in Paulding Plaza next to the Medicine Shoppe and Dallas Billiards (and also where the Theater used to be.) Can't miss it. You can PM Birdmom for details. pubby
  17. To do that would mean in all practicality that we become advertising free Consider banks (just think the late '80's and early 90's in this point) and any of the old timers that lost big on stock of the local Citizens Bank and Trust will remember that fiasco that was a county building and now is going to be a school campus. I should prevent all banks from advertising? Or I should conduct a full forensic audit at a cost of $150,000 to determine if they can by a $150 commerce membership? That would be absurd even iIf our fee for membership was $15,000 and banner ads $700/mo. That is
  18. What you don't realize is that it is not invisible to me and since that is the case, unless I am the one who set it invisible (I didn't) it is really easy for me to not know that it was set invisible by one of the mods. But then you wouldn't know that. pubby
  19. You are correct. In talking with the SO PIO, he said when he was running this story down for me that the private detective and the SO investigators were at the SO looking at the ad on pcom. If they were turned in directly, it wouldn't have involved the net at all. Like I said in the other topic, I worked at a small - I mean small daily paper in western OK over 30 years ago - and one of the other reporters got one of the XEROX letters ... a cease and desist letter from a XEROX attorney for the misuse of the brand name instead of the generic photocopy. Long before Pcom wa
  20. I saw it was closed but It was invisible? I didn't set it invisible. Who set it invisible? (mods PM me) I didn't say they were legal. It is not my job to know whether they were legal or not. What I was saying is FOLLOW THE RULE that you don't you don't rain on a commerce members parade. I'm serious about that. It is kind of like a cardinal rule. Don't do it. You want to warn them they are breaking the law, do it in a PM , you want to disrespect them for doing so; do it in a topic you start. Do it in their topic and either I or one of the mods are going to nail your butt w
  21. Several things make your post an ignorant comment: First, Steve is a British citizen Second, Steve is presumed innocent until found guilty. Third, ICE typically deports people to their home country. Fourth, the SO reports Nemie is not charged and will not be charged in this matter. Fifth, I would be surprised if the prosecution of this case is a high priority and there is no guarantee that there will even be a final adjudication of this event. Sixth: Steve came here recently I wonder if you know about Georgia and Australia's history as penal colonies becaus
  22. I should have looked at your profile. My bad. Thank YOU! none the less. pubby
  23. JLH: Ever heard of logistics? LB was arrested earlier in the week and her photo was available. When I got the call on Steve, frankly, he was still in the car being transported to the SO when I was editing the story at about 4:00. I didn't have a mug shot available and I didn't expect him to be processed until after air time. Is everything a conspiracy with you? Dang. pubby
  24. JMD: Thank YOU! If Boss Hogg is around ... give the gal a Mayberry ! pubby
  25. We did finally get some word about Duff (FIL) and the news is that he ended up with seven by-passes. Apparently while the worst artery was 90 percent blocked and the second 70 percent, there were enough blockage on the remaining five to prompt action given his 'tolerance' to the surgery. He did well in the surgery and the prognosis remains good and like Frann pointed out above, most recoveries these days seem almost miraculous. It does seem to put a whole new spin on the joke that it only hurts when you laugh thanks again for the positive thoughts and while there are some p
