Huh? The Republicans response was to let them go bankrupt now - wham bam in the middle of the financial crises and when the economy was teetering on the brink of collapse. All the Dems have done here is give folks time to sell out of their GM stock (if they hadn't already) before it went to zero value. There is, additionally, an understanding that this corporate entity was the victim of a perfect storm of collapsing economy, highly difficult financial cirumstance, overwhelming pension and health benefit costs from its legacy (and retired) workers. What you guys fail to

That would be a lot of laughing BS. I do have to take umbrage at your suggestion that the successor to the Wiemar republic was in any way MY dreamland. That's hogwash ...but it totally in line with those on the right whose favorite ploy is to accuse their opponent with their own motivations. The sole point was that you folks were railing against the spending habits of the Weimar Republic and sought to suggest that, like citizens there, folks would need a wheelbarrow full of money to buy a loaf of bread because of the inflation that is coming. You confuse the effort to maintain s

Surprise: We've been a socialist state since long before 1932. There is no such thing as pure capitalist state. Allusion to said 'capitalist' state is as wrong as describing our form of republican government as a pure democracy. The closest we've come in modern times to pure capitalistic societies are in countries ruled by a dictator who, by being the state, acts as a 'capitalist' by maximizing his take (primarily through corruption) and avoiding costs that don't meet the 'private' interests of the dictator. For instance, there was no public school system in Iraq. Rather ed

Authorities in Phoenix, Arizona have confirmed that they have located Isabella Petty and her one (1) year old brother who were believed to be traveling with the Paulding County fugitive, Jerry Fagen. Isabella Petty and the one year old boy were taken in to protective custody by Child's Protective Services (CPS) in Phoenix, Arizona. The fugitive, Jerry Fagen, was NOT located with the children. The nationwide search is still active for Jerry Fagen. Our Department of Family and Children's Services (DFCS) is working with CPS in Arizona to have the children returned to Georgia. The chi -
Friday is history ... ancient history ... undocumented history ... gone ... poof ... uh, a distant memory ... Yes, the database was corrupted and all posts from about 3a.m. Friday morning ... all your comments, all your PM's and every photo you uploaded to the site was all lost in a corruption of database that occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Friday night. Our tech guy worked and worked and tried to recover the tables and data from Friday but everything he tried did not work. the tables were corrupt and could not be retrieved. Here's the second video with updated images regarding this story. pubby I just returned from the press conference on the issue. Apparently the SO put the child on the missing children's list on Tuesday and decided to release the information today. The reason for the delay from the April 17 initial report, which was made by the child at school, was that the family appeared to be cooperating in the investigation and complying with the rules that DFACs requires ... i.e. the father had removed himself from the home. For instance, recognize that this is a case o

Probably because the call came from DFACs which was, as is customary, doing an investigation before leveling charges. However, as the SO release pointed out, the details of the situation were not immediately available. Beyond that, I don't know but I'll ask. pubby

The location of the proposed (and canceled) hospital on Seven Hills extention was actually north of Cedarcrest a good three or four miles north of the waste transfer station/landfill. The land where the landfill was will never be built upon although it may ultimately benefit from some landscaping for a golf course or other outdoor activity. As far as building in the area, it was available generally as large tracts and at a good price, offered a good location close to 75/41 and Cobb. A lot of smart folks invested in homes in the area and the presence of the closed landfill is secon

Ledford guilty and sentenced to die more information in this topic:

To clarify a few misconceptions: First there have been several planes to land there. Second, the money awarded the Weaver family in regard to the condemnation is exactly what the county proposed when they took the property back in 2006. Indeed, that money had already been paid and there was no additional money awarded the Weaver family as a result of their suit. The county in recent months, has approved the grading of land for hangers and the work on the terminal is proceeding. The landing lights and such are all operational. Certainly folks can throw rocks at the

I'm very proud that Dallas Dodge made the cut as well. I know that some good folks were cut. My love of cars began with my uncle who was a Lincoln-Mercury Dealer in Jonesboro, AR. He got out of the business by the time I turned into a teen so, in my high school days, I worked for a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealer in Osceola, AR. This was during the time of the Barracuda and Super Bird, Dodge Darts and Chargers and this dealer actually got one of the 500 Superbirds back in those days. I can remember it sitting on the ramp out front. Yep, pubby was a car jockey as a kid and I can reme
