  1. Thanks Mike. We haven't been unplugging the DSL. Guess we had better do that from now on.
  2. A can be the living room and b can be the guess room. Not guest room but the guess room.
  3. Only 6 people on here this morning. Another great day that the lord has made. So lets get up with a smile on our face and go to church. Hope you have the best day ever.
  4. Why don't you check with law enforcement and ask if you could use their firing range? Maybe they would like to take part in the shoot. They may need the practice with a shotgun. Let one of them be over the shoot for safety reasons. Remember you have to have rules like full chock or other chocks. I went to a turkey shoot one time and two men got into a fist fight over this mans shotgun. He had a gun that had some kind of chock that looked like a bean can on the end. The man in charge told him he couldn't use it and the fight was on. So you need some rules about if the barrel can be 28inches or
  5. Bluegrass tickets are gone. Hope you have a good time.
  6. Folks we went to the Raccoon Creek Music Park last night and had a great time. Had a small storm that cooled things off. The singing was great and the food was wonderful. We are not going to be able to go back today so we have 5 tickets that are good for today also that are free to the first person that will send me a pm and meet me somewhere in Dallas. This is a great chance to go and have a good time under the shade trees and enjoy some great picking and singing. 9. Lighthouse is across the road from ingels behind sav-a -ton service station. Thank Georgia Tornado.
  10. God is in Little Rock right now with your dad. So he will never be alone. Our prayers for your dad is that God will touch him and heal his body. Prayers for you also. God Bless.
  11. If he was mine I wouldn't do anything. I would wait untill he gets a little older before doing anything. You as a mother can give him the best hearing test each day by watching him and talking to him and checking him with different noises. I don't believe half of what the doctors say. They are like mechanics each one will tell you something different except [John Boy] of course. The doctor told my sister when her baby was born that if she didn;t have all of her blood drawn out and replaced with a blood transfusion that she wouldn't live more than a week. My sister came home crying and mama tol

  13. Well folks it is that time again. Time for the singing at raccoon creek this Friday night and Saturday. It is like a little bit of heaven to me .We go and take our lounge chairs and get in the shade and just kick back and relax and forget about all of our cares for a little while and listen to some of the best gospel singing in Paulding County. They have regular bluegrass too. Even if you don't like bluegrass you can still have a great time eating BBQ and ice cream and talking to friends and making new friends. They have camping and rest rooms and even have a shuttle cars for the people that a
  14. Johnny we did that also. I would climb to the top of the trees and crawl out on the vines growing between the trees and lay on my back and look at the clouds. If the vines would have broke I would be dead today.Don't know how we made it untill we were grown. God was watching over us.
  15. We did the same. Spent our whole summer out of school playing in the creek building dams and breaking them to watch the water go down when we were finished playing in them. The good old days.
  16. Jack you are so right. just losing another liberty.
  17. Glad that you cleared that up. You said it better than I could.
  18. You are right .Said old stamps would still be good.
  19. Just read where the stamps are going up to 46 cents and the liberty bell will be removed and replaced with an evergreen tree. Wonder if washington had anything to do with the removal of the liberty bell.
  20. Thoughts I am so old I remember when milk came in glass bottles and was brought to your house and was on the porch when you got out of bed. Prince Albert was in a can. Browns mule was chewing tobacco. Ice was bought in blocks of 25 or 50 or 100lbs. Coal for heat was sold in bags or a cole truck came to your house and dumped it in your yard. We went to bed when it was dark because we had no electric lights. Others had lights but we did not. We had not fans or air conditioners just slept with all windows up. Yes I am old as dirt but thank God for the life that I have been blessed with. I am glad
  21. When boys wore their pants cuff turned up and wore their hair like Elvis with the cigarettes rolled in the shoulder of their t- shirt.. Butch hair wax or brylcreem on their hair. Baby Jane candy. Horse shoes, marbles, hopscotch, Hula hoops and on and on. The good old days.
  22. Lady Raider my wife wants the recipe .She has sugar and has had a stroke so I have been eating all of the home made ice cream by myself. She would like to know how much splenda to use. Just give her the whole recipe please. Thanks.
  23. I saw on TV where two guys were selling ice cream from a boat and doing very well. My question is if you were camping on lake allatoona or any other lake would you call and order ice cream from a boat like ordering a pizza. Guess you whould have to be good at giving directions are they would never find you. If you start a business from my post then I want my cut.
  24. I love to watch nature in action. Not always pretty but necessary I guess. I saw a snake kill another snake and swallow it. I also saw a turtle lay it's eggs . Things that most people never see in a life time. Love all of nature.
  25. True story. I saw where this lady called 911 and said she had been shot in the head. When police arrived she was sitting in her car outside of a grocery store holding her head. After checking her out they found that a can of biscuits had got hot in the back seat and exploded hitting her in the back of the head. Glad it wasn't buttermilk biscuits she might have drowned.
