  1. It would seem Jeff Faux represents the Economic Policy Institute. "It's also important to note what sort of organization the innocuously named Economic Policy Institute is. By just taking a look at the EPI board of directors, we find that 10 of the board members are heads or former heads of national unions, including Richard Trumka (AFL-CIO), Randi Weingarten (American Federation of Teachers), Andy Stern and Anna Burger (SEIU), Ron Gettelfinger (United Auto Workers), and Leo Gerard (United Steelworkers of America). Consider also that one of the institute's former senior economists, Jared

The budget surplus/deficit for the Paulding County School District in Dallas, Georgia is $-31,365,000. ^ Georgia Board of Education, Retrieved June 25, 2010. If public schools are not threatened then what happened to P.B. Ritch? My daughter went to a charter school in Hall county called Martin Elementary. I did not have any problems with the school and they wanted parents to be more involved. Money is going to become a big issue in the future. Online schools and
  3. Thomas Jefferson believed in intelligent design In reality, Jefferson did not believe that intelligent design was a religious doctrine. In a letter to John Adams on April 11, 1823, he declared: I hold (without appeal to revelation) that when we take a view of the Universe, in its parts general or particular, it is impossible for the human mind not to perceive and feel a conviction of design, consummate skill, and indefinite power in every atom of its composition. (emphasis added) By insisting that his defense of intelligent design was made "without appeal to revelation," Jefferson
  4. "Federalists believed in a stronger centralized government and that the states were essentially part of one union that could enact laws upon all states. This party was primarily driven by Alexander Hamilton who correctly saw the need for this to happen from a economic stand-point, to pay off America's early debt and to establish a unified currency. The Anti-Federalists believed in strong states rights and a very minimalist federal government for many reasons. One such was a rational fear that a central government's president might be thought of as a King; whom they had just fought a revolution
  5. "If people let the government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls who live under tyranny." -- Thomas Jefferson
  6. http://money.cnn.com/2011/08/11/pf/tax_increase_rich/index.htm Tax hike on the rich would impact just 3% of taxpayers According to a recent report from the Internal Revenue Service, that leaves out about 97% of the tax-paying population. The report, which provides a complete breakdown and analysis of returns for the 2009 tax year, found that only a mere 3% of tax returns were filed by people earning a gross adjusted income of $200,000 or more. Americans earning $1 million or more were even more rare, comprising just 0.2% of total tax filers and accounting for a mere 236,883 of t

  8. Allatoona is located in Bartow County at the Site of Allatoona pass. Some friends have some pictures of the gold mine on Facebook but some of the pictures make the town look bigger with more buildings but I am not sure it is really Allatoona. I will display those pictures later but I have these now. Allatoona Lying between the Allatoona River and Pumpkinvine creek is a village of about 150 inhabitants, 7 miles southeast of Cartersville courthouse, 36 by wagon road and 41 by rail from Atlanta and 99 from Chattanooga. The place has two churches Baptist and Methodist and good prima

  13. I think one of the big problems was the fact that it was sold for $38,000 dollars for back taxes of which being a cemetery was tax exempt. Fulton county had a group called American Lien Company in Florida sold the land and a person claiming to be a family member bought it for the back taxes. The city of Sandy Springs in denying the permit to build and the guy who bought the property Chris Mills from relative for a dollar is fighting the city. It seems to be a really big mess.
