  1. How is this possible and we never have lunch??? There's a damn good Jamaican place right where we are! Or, duh, the square. Shame. Damn shame.
  2. oh no! Traffic is going to be a nightmare getting home!
  3. I'm also an orthodox quaker, followed by liberal protestant (which I am).
  4. Are you kidding? This is the most activity a TP/BL thread has gotten in a while. When a thread comes up that says, "I love the new Olay dish soap" and then 8 people say, "me too!" or "have you tried the lavender?" you will consistently chime in with some "you know you can mix baking soda, lavender essential oil and fairy dust and get the same thing". I'm just waiting for the time that you actually say, "me too!" to something. I know nothing about you, and never claimed to, and the only conclusions that can be drawn are by your posts. I seriously would think you lived in the Swiss Fami
  5. But we can sheer her after wards...and that just sounds fun.
  6. I think that my point is a little deep for me to communicate on a message board. But, I find that people that have to be so drastically "different" (think the hippies of the 70's, black panthers, PETA, emos) usually do that because they're desperate to be the "same". A clique is a clique, whether it's the cool kids or the freaks. The behavior is the same - natural. Humans have a desire to belong. Still, people that are fringe riders seem to use that as a way to elevate above the fray, as if to say "I'm not a conformist" (this is TT's behavior)and somehow better than the lay person that is
  7. What time should I meet you? I have to take small child to his dad's after church.
  8. Riiiiiiiight. I tried to be nice to you in my feedback/question. Just forget I asked it and move along, since I'm so beneath you that I've been "ignored" for years. Just remember, you're still just a smelly hippie despite how much "effort and time" you put into that lifestyle - you're no better than anyone.
  9. You can't truly dread hair overnight. You can order the supa dupa dread kit which will get you started - LGM can back comb the hair for you. Obviously, wash your hair with bar soap and use balm to nat it up. Roll it nightly to tighten the hair - but do not use hemp. Hemp can cause white people's hair to mold. You should be good in 4-6 months, but know that you'll have to shave your head when you don't want them anymore. With fine hair, I'd go with really thin dreads instead of the big thick ones. These tend to be a bit more clean over time as well. I hope you're ready for the lifestyle ch
  10. NEW FASHION QUESTION: I need to get a pair of topsiders. Do I want to go standard Sperry or get a little funky? I kinda like these
  11. That just reminded me! You and I met at one of your shows...I think I went up to you, and I had no idea how I knew it was you, because I didn't know you were playing my bar - funny none the less.
  12. Join. Tuesday. One other little tip...DOTS is great for your essentials (tanks, t's, wraps) and I just found a couple cute maxi's. Most of the time, the quality is crap...but you can't beat $5 tees and tanks.
  13. I probably should clarify that my statement wasn't because of this thread. Nor was it an attack. I genuinely like TT's contributions, they're quite valuable. I genuinely LOVE the friends I have that are just like her. It just seems that every time I read her posts, they always come across how different she is than the "norm". It was just an observation.
  14. I will PM you - if you wear anything that is blue and orange, I will tell you that you look fat in everything you put on.
  15. What if they left things on your porch? Or sent you boppies?
  16. We are doing shopping Tuesday, if you want to join. You'll need comfortable shoes and a high tolerance for caffeine.
  17. TT - I totally respect that you have shun the mainstream, but I do wonder if you know how condescending you can come across at times. I'm truly not trying to be terse, but I see this with a vast majority of my "hippie" friends. They shun the mainstream and they have no idea how haughty they come across when talking about their organic lifestyles, cloth diapering, wheat grass shakes, patchwork clothes, hemp laundry soap - whatever. When I read your post above, the I read it was that any man that didn't protest their women wearing make-up didn't think they were beautiful just the way th
  18. Nope. I'm actually paranoid about it. I went to eat at Bobby's yesterday and I kept wondering if the people around me were pcommers. I'm much more comfortable staying in my hood.
  19. I really think that I like the BL poster better. Maybe because TP is a "guy" and BL is a "girl". I just think that my mental image is better of BL, can you logout and log back in, TP? TIA.
  20. This is just before you hit Powder Springs Road, right? They stack up pretty good right there, as well as the area around the soccer fields.
