  1. To each their own....after much looking back, we did do it. It usually went something like this: "Can we have sex yet?" "Yes, but baby will be up to nurse in 2 hours, I'd rather go to sleep" "I'll be quick and you be quiet" "Fine, hurry up." Under covers of course. Otherwise I had to deal with the snuggle/dry hump (You KNOW you know what I'm talking about) that even man does when he's told NO.
  2. MrsB, I recently posted pics from "malls in the 90's", the FIRST thing that jumped out at me is how everyone was A LOT thinner than you find at the mall now a days...
  3. One of these children are on Medicaid and it just showed him going to dinner with his guardian (after bypass surgery) where he was allowed to have hot wings and 2 pieces of cheesecake.
  4. I'm watching this show (don't ask me why as I want to GAUGE my eyes out) called "Half Ton Teen"...and I my son is, well, he's in a size 12 and he's only 10, so a bit pudgy...but, I am really trying to understand how parents allow their children to become THAT obese. I can't help but think, YOU BUY THE FOOD. If my child's doctor told me that he needed to lose weight, I wouldn't have a damn thing in the house that wasn't a whole grain or a fresh vegetable. Further, some of this (IMO) borders on child abuse. 19 and 700lbs? That's WAY WAY beyond a thyroid problem. I wonder if there's any
  5. Are you Catholic? Wait - is this going to the Tonk or the Religious Forum?
  6. Completely unrelated - we bought a new tepurpedic bed. It vibrates. I'm anxiously awaiting delivery.
  7. I agree with you, to a point. Mostly because I wouldn't want my sex life to be as boring as it must be when kids are in the room! But, I did wonder if this was a feeling that was shared by others - I admit that the question in itself is tacky. That's to say, I'm sure everyone does it, but no one discusses it. But it's slow on pcom!
  8. I should add that this question is from a Dr. Phil show where it was said that it's a form of child abuse. My son was in a bassinet in our room for 2 or 3 months, though I don't think we did the deed for that long! Might be why I'm divorced!
  9. A power of attorney is NOT just a permission slip for treatment!!! It is a legally binding document that YOU CUSTOMIZE to determine the legal rights in your absence/incapacitation. For instance, I have a power of attorney with DSO, but I do not have a durable POA - in other words, I can make decisions on finances (his funeral spending), but I am not able to make decisions on health care (pull the plug). I may have the words wrong - but when we did this, we got back 100 pages od legalese written specifically for our situation.
  10. Charlie's RCMH show has 1600 seats available and the prices are down to $20!! I saw some clips of his performance in Detroit. I guess people don't really want to pay a hundred bucks to watch two chicks make out. I have a feeling that Charlie will be LOSING this one in the long run.
  11. Five Wishes is a cheap way of doing a living will and I believe that it's honored in GA. http://www.agingwithdignity.org/ Of course, this is just for the person, not children. And it does require notarization.
  12. We did this at the end of last year and our living wills and DNRs both were notarized at the attorneys. Dunno, though. I'm speaking from the way we did it.
  13. You went to Hawaii?! I thought you were in Florida! How fun! A doctor will follow the Hippocratic oath - if a decision has to be made, and you can't get home, the hospital that your child is at has staff in place to help you. Very few medical conditions need to have a decision made in a 6 hour window. These are more critical if you and family are in a car accident and you and hubby are incapacitated - say in a coma.
  14. Your child would receive life saving treatment if necessary regardless of the document. When you leave your child in the care of another person, you are giving them the temporary guardianship. Quite honestly, I don't think that the document holds any water - first because it wasn't notarized, secondly because it signed only by your husband. Being that DSO and I have such a huge age difference, and because we both feel so strongly about our medical care, we've both gone through the process of designating others for medical decisions. It's quite painful and isn't as simple as "signing a
  15. That would account for the 3 carbs is my guess, but I don't know for sure. I eat these lettuce tacos all the time, but I make them at home.
  16. Actually - you can! Go buy some tacos and roll the ingredients in a piece of lettuce. There's only 3 carbs per taco meat serving and if you stay away from salsa, all the other stuff (Cheese, sourcream) is free!
  17. Do you have a Norton or whatnot? It might pick it up, depending on what your company gives you.
  18. I don't have these ads. Are you sure you don't have some malware??
