  1. Uhhhhh, it's also has the second highest total population in the world Statistics101 lesson, anyone?
  2. I wonder if it's not "that man" - I put two and two together with the new management and the airline name and the few Christians and I'm wondering if it's a maintenance person for an airline. Not justifying the behavior, but there's a bit of "crude behavior" that I would imagine would take place in such an environement.
  3. Well and inaccurate - most gas station and Dunkin Donuts owners are Indian - which is Hindi or Buddhist, not Muslim - but that's probably irrelevant.
  4. Hamsters bite. It's actually more common to have a biter than one that's gentle.
  5. Which airline do you work for, Continental or Airtran?
  6. Well, thankfully there's a lot more generalizations that can be made of hunters than muslims. :spitschaw:
  7. "They" OWN the Dunkin Donuts and gas stations, what you do for a living?
  8. The environment is secondary to the improvement in the quality of life that comes with easy access to community services. Tons of studies on it. But, Paulding county residents (and the posters on pcom), don't live in suburbs - they live in the COUNTRY. There's a reason for that, and fuel costs should have been considered when choosing a residence. I could live in Paulding for half of what it costs me today, but my quality of life would be affected if I couldn't easily get ITP, which is why I don't. And that was something I considered when buying a house. It seems logical to me that yo
  9. I actually somewhat agree with Ivy. Markdvd, to address your scenario, you might have to actually speak to some of those other parents on the team or in the class and see of they can give your child a ride. While you're waiting, you could use that time to have a meaningful conversation with your child, instead of the coach. I'm sorry that you'd have to walk a half a mile - that 10 minutes could certainly be better spent on less exhausting activity. One of the best suburb serving public transportation systems that I've seen was in Boston. It had a number of feeder rails where commuters coul
  10. This is a very odd case. The father was just on channel 2...hmmm. Story http://www.ajc.com/news/missing-bartow-county-mothers-906011.html
  11. How many teams in each age group?
  12. Are you LL sanctioned? I've never heard of an all star team not being comprised of players from all the teams. Do you do inter-league allstar games?
  13. It's a cute idea - reminds me of hobo tags. I love when these fun things happen in our city and I hope that every urban hipster doesn't start putting magnets all over metro areas.
  14. Can anyone tell me about Myrtle Beach, preferably what it's like to live there? Is there anything to do other than golf?
  15. I think she meant a park draft. Little League rules state that you can only play for the park that you're districted for, otherwise we would have been at East Cobb last year
  16. We're in Cobb, so I can't really speak for Paulding - but we do draft. The coach gets his kid as a given, the draft the others. What's happened on my son's league is that 50% of the kids have been playing for years (my son is 8 ) and the other 50% are first or second year. As you can image, the coach's are usually the dad's of the 4 year players. Depending on the number of teams, the teams can get a little unbalanced. The senior players go quick and then the rest is luck (pick the biggest player first regardless of year is how we do it). I'll admit that we have one of the "super t
  17. I doubt that he's doing it around customers. Yes, you can get him in trouble; thank you for the reminder to shut my door before today's sales call.
  18. I used to date a guy that was a producer at CNN. I went and saw several shows...The make up is INSANE, beyond insane. The lights are HOT HOT HOT, and they all have jeans on under that "anchor man" suit. It was super cool to see. I think that the HARDEST job in the world is the guy that does the words that you see on the screen - that guy is crazy busy and goes way beyond attention to detail!
  19. Sadly, Applebees also did it in 2007. I want to know when apple juice turned GREEN?
  20. I'm sorry! I just stumbled on this Reed Krakoff collection. I don't like the high prices, but there's a couple that I really want to bring home!
  21. 25% off at Coach Outlet (they say that they have Signature totes for $125!!) https://e.coach.com/servlet/formlink/f?JhHJoQWSSTVGf6beX6990G11VuPMjmnHtHKNLglmjLkxPHohhQJhuVijpglyHnLVljmLsrc=MFA
  22. It's short - so I may even finish it before my trip, in which case I'll want a good fiction!
  23. Depends on the hand. Personally, I think it would be kinda cool to have, let's say, an african american hand...or, manhands.
  24. I picked up this book at the Bookworm and it was a pretty good read. I really liked the character development, and once I was used to the dialect, it really helped me get into the different personalities. Much of the book reminded me of Steel Magnolias or some other such southern novel. I devoured the first half, but started to lag after that...it seemed to me that some of the books characters were out of place and those (like Stuart) left me feeling that there wasn't any closure. The part about the cake was predictable, I saw that coming from the moment it was mentioned. The last 3 chapters w
