As someone that flies often, the transcripts seem to show the kids telling pilots pretty harmless things...not important things like which runway to use or anything like that - "clear for take off" is pretty hard to get wrong. My ONLY concern is how long the children were there. Having taken my son to work on several occasions, I can tell you that a 7 year old is DISTRACTING. So, if the kids were there for 30 minutes before lunch with the wife...that seems completely fine to me. If they were there all day...I just don't see how that can't be distracting to all.

I don't think anyone DOES think that is should be a maintenance plan for your personal lifestyle.
