Do you ladies like jealousy? My DSO is an amazingly powerful executive. Today he tells me about a woman that came into his office - pining - and he said, "honey, it reminded me of you". And I told him that it made me a touch jealous, but more proud. Does anyone else have a constructive jealousy in their relationship?

Quick note: I live in COBB Last night I was awaken at midnight by a very loud gun shot. My windows were open, and while it sounded like a gun shot - I chalked it up to a backfire and tried to go back to sleep. Four minutes later, another. Slightly more faint. Here's my question, are we supposed to do anything about this? I didn't see anything on the news this morning...didn't hear any sirens or anything. I was laying there wondering if this is something that should be reported.

I'm sure my grandma cooked them like she did liver...with onions. Everything was with onions...appitizers were onions. With salt. I'm not insulting your gizzards pip; foie gras is a delicacy, and I don't like that either!

I didn't like that falsetto thing...the dress, the look, not so much.

8 year old boy - attitude?
dumbestgirlintheworld replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Oh hello no, this won't continue. I don't think that I need to beat the attitude out of him, but I we have put a chore book in place that he earns points and rewards for. I've taken a great deal of the "mom said so" and inserted the "it's in your chore book" - which he has to keep up with and I check. Cutting him off from TV isn't realistic as a single mom, but I make him use points if he wants to and that puts limitations on TV - and their self regulated instead of "mom limiting my TV/gameboy/etc" He's still very sweet, but whew boy! He's changed a lot in a month! -
Me too! Simon was hilarious! And Tim, was charming! I'd vote for him cause he's just so darn likable!
-
He did better than I ever thought he would - AND, he was still better than didi, and he's horrible. It was a bad Michael Buble.
-
Tim is never goiung to pull this off.

Woah! Ryan knowing a little secrets of DiDi's?? Spicy! He was TRYING to get her to go for the sympathy vote...she should have followed his lead!

Didi is a train wreck - from the song choice (who cries at this friggin' song??) and the dress, and the wide open stance....ugh, terrible

It's that time again...

Nothing. But, if I ever orchestrate my son and 15 of his closest friend to do the off the shoulder jacket shot (or the jumping in the air at the wedding shot), I want to be shot. -
Gizzards - yuck! Those are up there with liver for me. We'd just finished having Caribbean Dal with Basmati rice.

"son, no more junk - we'll be having dinner soon" I come down from folding clothes and he's eating shredded mini wheats. I look at him and say, "what did I tell you?" He replies, while pointing to the box, "it has fiber. See." OK, I couldn't help but laugh, but seriously - he's nearly 8 and he's developed a serious attitude. We have implemented some things to deal with this, but I'm wondering if it's normal? Do kids usually start to not listen and develop an attitude at this age? I feel like he's gone from my sweet little boy, to a know it all adolescent.
