If I have to pay, I have to pay. I was in the wrong. Again, nothing wrong with playing the odds. The one thing I did ask, as I always do, is "does this carry points"? He didn't know, which told me that it's likely he doesn't go to court or else he would know the outcome of these types of violations. I may be interjecting too much logic, or perhaps hoping for a lucky outcome. My son knows to respect police men; we often chat up the cops on our Starbucks runs. He loves them! He's far too young to be taught the real lessons of his rights to remain silent, refusal of search without probable c

Angle Eyes - I agree with you on many points...not the video, but your overall feeling that cops are not the public's friends. I just wanted to comment - REMAIN SILENT. NEVER, EVER speak to the police beyond "yes sir" or "no sir". The police are there to take people to jail, period. They have extremely limited and temporary power. I got a ticket just yesterday for driving in an emergency lane. The cop said, "I pulled you over cause you were driving in an emergency lane. Is there an emergency?" I could have pleaded my case, after all, I don't want to pay $300 for the ticket, but I said,

Wow! Lumak did you know Eli was _________ (I don't want to spoil it, but he was definitely something which only is figured by the end of the book or if you're familiar with the Bible)

Anyone seen this? It's really a very powerful movie about theology, and violence. It's quite good. I'm only half way through it, started a little slow, but now I'm completely enthralled with Denzel's character.

NC - if you need someone to share that rocking porch - I'm your girl. I'll have 47 cats (I hope you like hair). -
Few more tips, use www.atlantablackcar.com if you're going for a week or more. It's $50 each way and it will cost you the same as offsite parking. Use the north entrance at Hartsfield for the shortest lines. Pay the $6 for the redcoats outside the terminal and they'll move you to the bulkhead seats at no cost if you ask. Tag your bags with your hotel's info as well on the outside of your bag. Have a great trip.

14 days in advance directly through the airline websites will give you the best price on airfare by itself. However, use an agent if you need to book hotel/air/ground transportation for the best rates. Unless you have some marriage to the Bahamas (like a free hotel), I would look at other destinations for a nicer, cheaper deal overall.

Opinion/Suggestion on Childcare Price

Going for unlicensed day care is around $100-$125 a week I believe. I paid $1200/month - -
while I wish I had your time, Teatime, I do feel the need to warn people to look closely at those "organic" foods that they eat. I worked in food and beverage supply chain with numerous "organic" companies and they are a big bamboozle as well. I would love to garden, and raise cows on organic grass, and utilize my "Four ingredients" cook book, but since I have other things in life to do, I caution those that want to be realistic and not idealistic, to do their best to incorporate as much fresh food as possible and wash it well with water and baking soda. My great grodmother lived to

Do you ever think about your end of days?

I've forgiven, I really have. I've even asked God today to forgive me for my feelings. Though, as a human, I know that it's natural to have such feelings. I know what I'll never do...and I'm sure that some of the things he did were done with his own perceived good intentions. -
Without too much detail, it's likely that we'll be saying goodbye to a member of the family. During this persons long life on earth, he's done what I feel are some pretty bad things to people...I want to feel badly about his passing, which looks all but inevitable, but I think about all the times that he put himself and his needs, money, desires, before all others, including a great deal of family. He always managed to pull out a car for someone when it got dire, or pay for a honeymoon...but, I just can't bring myself to feel all that badly for him. As a matter of fact, one of the things

I've never been too hip on math, but I went to test for my school placement and boy, you can lose ALL of algebra if you don't use it regularly! Or in my previous marketing roles, AT ALL. Anyways, came across this site and it's pretty cool! www.coolmath.com The navigation is a little junky, but it does make things easy to understand. Thought some of you might be interested.

The Millenium Book Triology
dumbestgirlintheworld replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
They are SOOOOO good. While popular, they seem to really have only caught on with "readers". I'm so surprised at how much better the second one has been so far! -
I just read that the millenium books are going to be made into a movie with george clooney and...kristen stewart. I would have much preferred natalie portman or christina ricci. Has anyone else read these books? I'm half way throug the girl who played with fire.

A 16 year old sails around the world ALONE?
dumbestgirlintheworld replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I was married to a sailor, and this is just nuts. I sailed a regatta in Boston and thought that I was going to die. Still, to be alone for an extended period of time with the limited decision making skills possessed by a 16 year is dangerous. This reminds me of that Emory Kid in "into the Wild" - Mother Nature is a bitch, and I have no mercy for people that are so cocky to think that they can tame her.
