  1. There are times that we disagree with our superiors, shoot, I've worked for a company where I disagreed my entire tenure...still, their your boss. Quite honestly, McChrystal is the ONLY one that cares about the hows and whys of this war. Like it was stated, Obama doesn't even want to talk about the war. He'll call "war" on big oil before he'll call war on terrorists. If McChrystal is released, I will be conflicted for this reason alone. I do believe that he's probably fed up, and any time that happens, it affects job performance. I'm also concerned about what message we're sending out to the w
  2. Graceland, the Pyramid, Beale Street, Mud Island (which isn't a venue anymore, but might come back! yeah!), the goats on a roof place is a good experience, Randevous BBQ, the Peabody for the ducks - make sure you go upstairs and see where they live!!).
  3. Yes ans yes! Its so easy, doesn't tangle...its awesome! Its $5, give it a twirl!
  4. I've stayed there many, many times. DO NOT get the Presidential suite. I have no idea why they have yet to update the most expensive room in the resort, but it's NOT worth the extra money. It's green and maroon and just awful. The Governor suite, however, it much nicer. The tour takes about 30 minutes and stinks. I'd skip the tour, and just do the tasting - and honestly they haven't had a good wine in years. The pub is fun, the jazz bar upstairs sucks. Golf is nice. The spa isn't up to my spa standards of a resort, but I'm a snob with that. If I'm going to drop $300 on a massage and facia
  5. OK ladies, I MUST tell you about 2 of the greatest new products I've found. First is the Goody's SPIN PIN! This thing is awesome. Easy to use and makes the cutest messy buns. Love it! The second is Maybelline shadow blast. I bought one, and then went back and got one in every color. It feels great and makes eyes SO easy, especially if you like a bit more dramatic look. Both are less than $10! BARGAIN!
  6. I think he'll keep his post. There will be a ton of others whacked. He said, they said, the truth. Problem is that its a HUGE no no in the military.
  7. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/06/21/mcchrystal-says-ambassador-betrayed-criticism-afghan-war-strategy/ The top U.S. war commander in Afghanistan is being called to the White House for a face-to-face meeting with President Obama after issuing an apology Tuesday for an interview in which he described the president as unprepared for their first meeting. In the article in this week's issue of Rolling Stone, Gen. Stanley McChrystal also said he felt betrayed and blind-sided by his diplomatic partner, Ambassador Karl Eikenberry. WHAT IN THE HELL WAS HE THINKING??? Seriously. D

  9. No, she's engaged to Grant Rivera, principal of Campbell High.
  10. I borrowed $3K against mine and set up payments to pay back in a year and I didn't have to pay any interest or penalties.
  11. I don't know...according to her blog, she was dating Ben Rose in July of 2009...so less than a year.
  12. They haven't been together long, I think it was a surprise for a lot of people!
  13. Do you guys listen to the Bert show? Jenn Hobby is engaged!
  14. You did the right thing, BUT, can you imagine if you had decided to run by your mom's or friends and he saw you out again...say, driving through a bank ATM or some other such thing. You would have been in for a heap of trouble. And those are the situations that happen FAR too often to lawful citizens. Knowing your rights and what to say (or not say) can help you to be treated fairly. "I'm sorry but I'm a 45 year old woman" vs. "Sir, may I go now" makes all the difference. Again, always keep it in your mind that they have LIMITED, TEMPORARY power. Sadly, they see a lot of their hard w
  15. some other sites: http://www.policecrimes.com/police.html The overwhelming rule in this is DO NOT TALK. I love how they talk about cops asking your personal questions, "where were you going"? They do this to get you to reveal things that will incriminate you. The other thing that they note in here is that if you're asked to get out of your car, lock the doors behind you. Everyone says, "if you're not doing anything wrong...", which is crap. I had a friend get arrested for having a Rx pill outside of the prescription bottle. Why? It was a daily dose medicine that he had to take wit
  16. Stepmom is a person of interest? http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/6108362-updates-on-kyron-hormons-disappearance-from-his-school-in-oregon
  17. Alright you wenches, knock it off. I have a half gallon of my son's brownie ice cream in the freezer and you're both handing me the damn scoop!
  18. In all honesty, if I wasn't out of work, I'd pay my lumps and be done with it. Half a day of my life is worth MUCH more than $300. When I was working I would have never bothered with appearing in court, but I'm also trying to keep food on the table. The reason I used the ER lane in the first place was to get to a networking event to try and gain employment. While I understand what this could convey to children (though my son wasn't with me), I also have an obligation to try to save money, money that will ultimately pay for my son's uniforms this year. Sorry ladies, I gotta do what I gotta
  19. It reminded me of Bridge of Madison County or A Walk to Remember.
  20. I just finished it. Hated the ending...but it was a very endearing movie.
  21. Bite your tongue woman! This movie is pulling on every heart string my bitter heart has!Q
  22. Dear John???? I'm 30 minutes into it and I've ALREADY cried. Whoever it was, CURSE YOU.
  23. Thank you. Rights are given to citizens for a reason; any LEO worth their badge knows this and works within these confines to ensure that lawful judgments hold up in courts.
