  1. Why isn't she in school? I thought children had to go to school by law? And further, isn't this child endangerment?
  2. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2010/06/10/california-teen-solo-sail-bid-lost-sea/ Really? Why isn't she in school, and will her parents be charged in her death??? LOS ANGELES -- Rescuers searched Thursday for a 16-year-old Southern California girl who was attempting a solo sail around the world.
  3. alright..so that new lady antebellum song instantly starts a slide shows of past boyfriends and I always cry when I hear the country song "she let herself go". your turn...
  4. This is good to know, women are catty! The program that I'm going into is more for a hospital setting, so I won't be working in a doctor's office (at least it's not as likely). Still, I will say that coming from a marketing role, I can handle almost anything from a gossip standpoint. I'm very discreet after working with sales teams over 10 years. 5. Thanks NC, scrubs are definitely on the plus side!! As is 4 10 hour days! I've never taken myself out of the workforce for so long...but, to be honest, I don't have a damn thing on the horizon. The idea of going back to corporate america is truly exhausting to me. The idea of earning half my salary entry level if I don't get into the nuclear program is terrifying. But, I look back on the last 10 years of my life and I've sat through a lot of meetings, done a lot to help other people get rich, bad people in some cases, and I've watched loyalty between company and employee become non-existe
  6. 32 is half way to 62, which is when people retire...if you didn't know. So, yes, I'm half way through my career life. Anyways, I'm thinking about going into nuclear medicine. It's a normal radiation therapy degree and then 1.5 of advanced training.
  7. Did you go to Kennesaw? I much prefer the one in Norcross.
  8. So, I'm in the process of determining a change of careers and I thought someone might be able to help me with my Ben Franklin list. I'm in corporate marketing (mid sized companies 400M+) and I'm thinking about going back to school to be a fancy x-ray tech. So, aside from the salary cut - is there anything that I should consider when leaving a cube life for life in a hospital/drs. office? Oh, I should mention that I'm 32 and will be in school for the next 3.5 years.
  9. Has been moved here: http://paulding.com/forum/index.php?/topic/246348-my-review-of-local-water-park/ If anyone wants to read it.
  10. It was so awesome! The kids start every monday with songs and dance like this! My very white son goes to a very black, gospel church. They come home with the coolest moves! If anyone is interested in sending their kids to an Abeka program Christian school (with very reasonable tuiton), please PM me! I'd love to tell you about how great his school is!
  11. So Atlanta's favorite gospel singer Dee jones surprised the kids for graduation. This is so freaking cute!
  12. I didn't have a link - the subject line is what was posted on the yahoo front page. Couldn't find anything else. Thanks for the link HWAM.
  13. In real life, I don't ever recall getting pats on the back or special treatment for my good jobs. I got a raise, a promotion, whatever...and our kids get to go to better schools, get scholarships, whatever. Kids need to be encouraged, and rewarded from within...and parents.
  14. Ipalitos, there's one in Kennesaw (for future reference)
  15. Jeff Bridges is my favorite actor, but WOW, he went above and beyond in this role. His character is loosely based on the Hank Williams/David Allen Coes of country music. This is a fantastic movie!
  16. Teeth are the most important thing you can do. I did my first cosmetic dental procedure at 19. Now I want to get lumaneers, but sheesh, they're $7,000! I plan on getting a nose job this year, but those are a song compared to teeth work. And botox...:luv: As far as getting things done and the dangers - man, it's better to burn out than fade away. I'm going out looking good.
  17. Did you do vaneers? I'm contemplating them.
  18. I've had a reduction and it's the BEST, BEST thing I ever did. I can't say enough good things.
  19. breast implants? This was spawned by twokidsandabun's thread...70% of the people I know are augmented.
  20. I'm with you, I have a million. The ones I wear most are Gucci. I have a pair of Bolle for hiking, paddling, etc. I wear them everywhere, even inside. I feel like if I have them on, no one can see me. I have a pair of D&G's that I wear at the beach...they are so cute.
