  1. I hope we are going to see this more, and more. http://gma.yahoo.com/blogs/abc-blogs/football-program-no-more-participation-trophies-224827133--abc-news-topstories.html
  2. Oh, me and you in DC? Ummmmmm maybe there is something to this test.............
  3. I might could cause a lot of upheaval. What with having all that common sense, and stuff.
  4. LR, there will be better days ahead. We will always miss our mommies.
  5. This test is so messed up..............It says I belong in DC. First of all DC isn't a state. and I don't like city type places. Although the museums, and history to be seen might be worth spending some time there.
  6. If this neighbor is so crazy, WTH would you let your kids hang out at her house? Why is it your kids fault that HER kids (please tell me there is a baby daddy around) are failing? And, why would your daughters be freaked out if an police officer stoped them? Did you bring them up to think that the police were bad guys? And, how old are your daughters? Sounds like the police were there that had nothing to do with you, or your kids. Or, should they have been?
  7. When I first read what you wrote. My thought was/is the Continental Congress. We are indeed a country based on the free market. When one is speaking of this utopian world, no matter what there will be group/s of people that will feel that they are not getting their "fair share." Which means that there will always be a job for the community organizers. They only way for this to succeed is to breed out any, and all human desire to better oneself.
  8. My friend, any of us who call it like it is are heartless, and whatever else they want to call us. That fact is that we see things for what they are, and have no problem being honest about it. Some think that if you flower it up, it makes it all better. When in fact it is still a puritic, festering mess, that without the right treatment will continue till it becomes gangrenous, and must be amputated, before it poisons the whole body. It's not lack of compassion, it's common sense.
  9. They didn't come with directions, dag nabbit. I'll go with the bolded.Because I have a choice. The Tali ban? Ah, but in this Utopian dream you will only be allowed however many children (most likely one) the state says you can have.
  10. The world he is talking about will tell you what to do with every day of your life. They will decide where you live, what you do, what you wear, who you will mate with, pretty much control every waking moment of your life. Hence I don't look good in brown, I want choices. I want to have whatever I have WORKED for. I want my children to become whatever they want. In short I do not want the "State" to dictate how my family, and I live, where we live, what we wear, who we marry, or anything else that you, and others are hoping to see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyD9ftpzKj0
  11. I'm not surprised. Look at some of the posters right here on this board. Our children are being brain washed, and yet those of us who know what's wrong are ridiculed. I don't have a college education, but I sure do have a lot of common sense.
  12. I haven't watched the video. However, in answer to you question, NO I would not sign anything giving up my God given rights. The gooberment can't, protect us.
  13. Yeah, whatever. From Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fox_%28What_Does_the_Fox_Say%3F%29
  14. OK, none of y'all are bothered by liBerry? It's LIbRary people! Ax= ask urnge=orange
  15. So, what are you folks in Hiram, and Dallas city voting for? Is it something those of us who live in the county need to be concerned about?
  16. The Scout Moto!! "Be Prepared" Some folks would rather forget the lessons that their grandparents taught them. Poor little things.
  17. Yes, a parent does know their child best. However, too many times a parent (especially first time parents) read too many "parenting" books, and they jump to the OMG somethings wrong with my kid. From what the OP stated, it sounds like the child may need just a little more time, and some behavior modification. If there really is a concern, then the first place to start is always the child's doctor, they are the ones who will recommend whether or not to send the kid for psychologist help. A public message board is not the place to get the professional answers one seeks. But, hey what do
  18. Paint ball in the woods. No really, I think there is a paintball place around someplace near here.
  19. Pink pig is still set up. It's on the top of the parking garage at Macy's Lennox square
  20. I've found that taking away TV time. Playtime, and other punishment works wonders. Also explaining that bad behavior will not be tolerated. Why would a 5yr old have need to see a psychologist? Is your daughter wanting to put the kid on drugs to zombie her out?
  21. I understand that. But at some point (70 I think) you don't have to pay it anymore. My point is actually for the "living wage" folks.
  22. I know you know. And, exactly. But, what if you don't need maternity coverage? Really? I'm 50 years old, and we have a 14yr old son. I'm thinking that neither he nor I will be getting pregnant anytime soon So why would I pay for something I don't need?
  23. Everyone keeps saying how expensive COBRA is Really it isn't, it's just that instead of your employer paying 1/2 or more of the premium, you are now paying the full amount. What a shock that in addition to your normal salary your boss has also been paying you even more, because of the amounts of money that they pay on YOUR behalf. Well except for unemployment, and workers comp. You the employee don't pay anything for those two things.
