Yep, that's how it happened with DH UE. He tried to find work, but if folks don't think age discrimination doesn't exist, they are so wrong.

He is the best. We (my husband and I) will always use him.

Did you get your UE before your severance ran out? DH lost his job in "09" and had to wait till his severance ran out before he could draw UE. After all was said and done, we (he and I) felt it was better for him to go ahead and retire. Between his health and age we (he and I) knew that no one was going to hire him.

I had a Four Runner that was totaled, and the adjuster tried to get me to take an amount that was less then what the truck was worth. I told him what I would take, and where I got my figure from. He said that was the retail value. I asked him what he thought I would be paying. He gave me what I wanted.
