Just got the call!!!! No school for Friday!!!!!!

It has happened to me before a few times at different locations. Once at Kroger off of Ridge Road, once at the Racetrac in D'ville, and once at the Kroger off of 278/61. One of the times, I watched the person walk back to their car (nicer than my 2003 Tahoe) and drive away!!! Thankfully, I didn't give them any money!

I know you said, "besides good health," but that is what I am most thankful for!!! I am almost a 3 year cancer survivor (on Feb. 2nd), and my health has never been better. All of my CT scans and check ups from 2009 have come back clean and great! I lost over 50 pounds last year, doing nothing more than WW. That was the best thing for my body, because we believe it is what helped us create our newest addition coming in April. So, I have a lot to be thankful for from 2009...health, weight loss, a baby on the way, and many more things! Happy New Year's Day to everyone!

I am looking forward to tomorrow's meal with greens and beans! We just got back in town from a quick trip to the beach in Gulf Shores. We stopped at Lambert's (Home of the Thrown Rolls) in Foley, AL. Both hubby and I ate some of their greens, and MAN, I wish I knew how they made them. They were sooooooooooooooooo good!!!! The meal was complete with their fried taters, which I also wish I knew exactly how they make them taste so good!

I agree! But, only if I have been good enough!
-
Awesome! I hope you and yours enjoy it as much as my family does!

Oh, it isn't homemade by any means!!! I got the recipe off of the back of the Stove Top box. It is so easy, and quick! Stuffed Chicken Rolls Prep: 10 mins. Bake 30 mins. 1 pkg. (6 oz.) Stove Top Stuffing Mix (Chicken flavored) 2 eggs, slightly beaten 6 small boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (about 1 1/2 pounds)-pound them down to 1/4 inch thickness 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) condensed cream of chicken soup 1/2 cup milk 1 tsp. paprika 1. Combine stuffing mix and 1 cup water in a large bowl. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir in eggs. Spread stuffing mixture evenly over chicken

Just cooking...although I didn't want to! Chicken Stuffing Roll-Ups Mashed Taters Green Peas It is an easy meal, so that is why I chose it!

I only have a few things to return... a shirt that didn't fit my hubby to JCP and 4 maternity "girl holders" to Lane Bryant.

New Year's Day dinner is one of my favorite meals! My mom makes a massive spread...a large pot roast with carrots, potatoes, and onions, along with a fresh pan of cornbread, deviled eggs, greens, and black eyed peas. I make myself sick eating so much, but it is hard to resist! For some silly reason, I believe in the Old Wive's Tale about eating the greens and beans. I love them both, so you won't hear me complaining. I am looking forward to it already!!!!

I am sorry for your loss. Our pets do become our babies, which makes it even harder when something happens to them. Your post made me tear up. My heart aches for you. She was a cute doggie, and I know she will be missed dearly.

I made hubby order a pizza. I am too busy cooking sweets and cleaning up the house, so it was kind of an "every man" night.

Can you tell me a little more of where this is located? For some reason, I can't picture where the church would be. TIA
-
Awesome! I am glad to hear. I know that the pastor and Ms. L handled things appropriately. They always do. I hope you have a wonderful break! Thank you for being one of the awesome teachers at the CELC! Each one of you care so much for the kids, and it shows!

I wish they could, but they only go to school Mon.-Thurs. 9am-noon So, no party... I am glad that the elementary school didn't have to evacuate. That would have not been fun!

I just got home from picking up my son at his preschool. He goes to New GA Baptist Church's preschool. There is a major gas leak at the corner of 61 and Mulberry Rock Road. The smell is awful!!!! He is so sad...cause his Christmas party is cancelled. I am trying to get him to understand that they evacuated the preschool to keep the kids safe, but he is still upset. Poor thing. Anyone else know what might have been the cause for the leak????

I have seen the sign for 655 West somewhere. Where is it located? What exactly do they do?

The latest I have heard... He is in intensive care, in a medically induced coma. He is in stable condition though, so not sure why he is in the coma. Apparently, he lost a lot of blood. He was stabbed in the stomach and in his arm. Please continue to pray for him!
-
The man that was stabbed was my cousin's husband. As far as I know, as of right now, he is doing ok. I am waiting to hear back from a family member to find out more. Please keep him and his family in your prayers!!!!

I worked hard to get to my 1,000th post. So, several people said I need to work on 5,000. Yup, my hubby got tired of me playing on here all the time! Oh, well. I met my goal. Yes, I will work toward 5,000, but slowly... Good luck meeting your goal!
-
If that is the case, then Allgood will be on lock down! Poor kids, and parents trying to pick them up from ASP!

Mine, too! I have three cats. One of our cats thinks it is his job to tidy up after the others. So, one of the girls got in, did her business, he jumps in after her, just in time for it to kick on!!! Hysterical scene, but he hated it after that. He caused such a commotion, that the other two never went back in it. They graciously let me know they didn't like it anymore by pooping outside the box!!! I think it would be great to use if you have a kitten and they "grow up" using it. My cats were already used to their normal boxes. So, it's back to scooping for me!
