  1. I should have wrestled him to the ground and made a citizen's arrest! Oh, well....I'll know next time!
  2. No! That's why YOU'RE invited!
  3. One of my first jobs was as a Soda Jerk in the small town where I grew up. We preferred the term "Carbonated Beverage Technician"!
  4. Wanna go to lunch with me tomorrow? Hmmmm....very interesting!
  5. I'm considering this. I googled the name, and the business address is clearly a residential area. I happen to have a friend who lives on the road, so I'm going to ask about him first. Just so everyone knows, I'm not overreacting to us overhearing someone letting a word or two slip. This man was outside another place of business YELLING the mack-daddy of all cuss words over and over and over again. There was an elderly lady who approached the restaurant at the same time we did, and I thought she was going to go into cardiac arrest. It was BAD!
  6. I'm sure your wife will be thrilled!
  7. Sent you a PM. Nah! J - you wouldn't have believed this!
  8. I appreciate the education you just gave to my 9 year old son as we approached the restaurant you were standing outside. He now knows no less than 5 new words that he'd never heard before. And it was great the way you kept yelling them over and over so that he wouldn't misunderstand. Just so you know, I would NEVER do business with someone who intentionally used that type of language in front of children. I would NEVER do business with someone who spoke to their employees on the phone the way you just did. And since the name of your business was written ALL over your shirt, I know whic
  9. This is such a sad thing. His wife called in afraid that her husband was going to kill himself, and he had a gun. She had left the house, and asked police to check. They had been searching the area, and couldn't find him. I had so hoped they would find him okay.
  10. You could tell them that you are going to do a gift exchange, and if they want to open a present, they need to bring one. Then let them know you'll keep the gifts at your house for them to enjoy when they visit. I keed, I keed! Don't get mad....I'm just joking....trying to lighten the mood! And now that we're older, the grandkids get most of the gifts. We parents each get a small gift from my mom (I usually ask for my annual bottle of Tommy Girl perfume.) My husband gets a gift, too. He always feels cheated....I don't know why. He got a REAL NICE carbon monoxide detector a
  11. Where do you put them on the mantle? The edge isn't wide enough, and the way the mantle is formed, I'm not sure they'll stay anywhere else? Suggestions?
  12. Does your phone have email? I usually just email it to myself and then save it to the phone.
  13. I thought about that, but it's live, and I'm afraid the branches/leaves/pine needles will break off. That might work! I'll just have to see if I can make it work with the surface of the mantle.
  14. This is the third Christmas in our new house. I've refrained from hanging garland until now, but I really want to because I LOVE the smell! What can I use to hang the garland without causing too much damage to my mantle and hand rails?
  15. I do believe it makes an impression to potential clients. While I understand that not all people have excellent spelling or grammar skills, for any type of advertising or printed information and correspondence from the company, it is important. No matter who I do business with, I want to know that they will pay attention to every detail of my job. If they aren't concerned with the details of the information they print publicly, I will question that. JMO (And we all make mistakes! I would be grateful if someone pointed out one for me to be able to correct!)
  16. I fell the saim weigh! Seriously, though, it is important! I realize sometimes churches or other businesses may intentionally misspell to grab attention of passersby, but it always looks unprofessional. I did notice that one of our local quick eateries recently changed their sign which was misspelled. It had read, "BUFFETT HERE". I called my husband to see if he could get tickets!
  17. I wanted to know, too (although, I'm just nosy.) I've heard a lot of deputies arrive on scene, but I don't know what the initial call was. I know one of the officers out found a wallet that was of interest.
  18. I've been busy at work, and had to mute it a lot. But there is a lot of activity on Hart Rd. Does anybody know what it's about?
  19. We don't have anything. I'll just come to your house!
  20. You made me do a double take. I thought I'd lost a month!
  21. "Get Low" is still scheduled for release early 2010. Critics continue to applaud the movie, and recently, Bill Murray and Robert Duvall were awarded Best Actor awards for the film by the Torino Film Festival! :yahoo:
